Question about items acquired via the off the truck special or 5 finger discount

I have a question about the justice system. If a person steals an item and the items are crafting materials will the crafted item be stolen? If the item stolen was a recipe will all items created from that recipe be stolen? Are there any other ways to "clean" items aside from the fencing person?

Once the recipe or material is used, the item stolen is destroyed. Items created by use of stolen materials or knowledge are not impacted by their component stolen status. (so as long as you use the stolen item, destroying it, then you are off the hook).

If you stole a recipe that you want to transfer to one of your alts to learn, then you will need to Launder it. Click on the right most icon at the top of the Fence menu and you can "purchase" the Recipe at face value "cleaning" it from being stolen.
