PC to Console Imperial Upgrades

I was searching the forums a few days ago and I came across a posting where someone asked if the Imperial Upgrades would transfer. @ZOS_JessicaFolsom Answered and said yes. Now the reason I am posting this is because I am looking for a little clarification. The way the the question was posed and the way she answered confused me!
She said the the Upgrades will transfer, So my mount, my pets, and my Level 13 Imperial will carry over, but does this also mean all the benefits will too? Like I will be able to make another Imperial or be able to create any race in a certain faction? When I buy ESO for Console and I transfer my characters, Will I have to rebuy the Imperial Edition?

PS I cant figure out how to link ZOS_JessicaFolsom into this post. If someone could tell me how or link her for me so she see this that would be helpful!

You'd have to put an @ in front of the Tag. Like this: @ZOS_JessicaFolsom
It doesn't work if you put it in with an Edit to a post, somehow the forum doesn't appropriately update it. Has to be in the original post. At least that was the case in the very beginning when I tested it. Don't know if it's still the case.

    Hey there @cromahn,

All of the benefits will carry over, so you will be able to make additional Imperial characters, as well as continue to use the Any Race/Any Alliance benefits from the Explorer's Pack.

So, when I read the FAQ part of the website it clarifies that crowns will not transfer to console BUT, will the items purchased via crowns carry over?

To me it reads that the items purchased via crowns will not carry over because they do not carry to other servers like NA to UK.
Can you guys clarify as I want to buy some other mounts but will not if I cant take it with me.

I was under the impression from reading that the crowns were based off of your ESO account. That is why you link your account through the website with Play Station Plus or Xbox. The crowns "should" be shared through all your platforms since the ESO account is the same. I will be really disappointed if that is not the case. I have a bunch of crowns on the PC but I am swapping over to PS4.

Can I also play on the pc and for example my sister on the ps4 with the same account? I know the progress wont be shared and it isnt cross platform but she can play on the ps4 while I play on the pc?

@ZOS_GaryA is this a change in policy or just maybe my misunderstanding on DLC? When I previously asked on The Reddit AMA

When you discuss porting characters over to the console, what will transfer?
    The character model?
    items?
    skills and progress?
    champion points?
subscription to plus? (So it can be shared pc to console without paying twice)
    DLC?
will the character be "moved" or "cloned", so you can still go back to pc with that char if you want?

Nice, an opportunity to respond with a bulleted list of yes/no. Here ya go:

    Yes: Character Model
    Yes: items
    Yes: Skills and progression
    Yes: Champion points
    No: Subscription to plus
    No: DLC
A one-time clone. From then on, each version of the character progresses independently

Basically, it's a one time transfer of your characters' data to your console account, but from then on, your PC account is unique from your console account.

My understanding was there wasn't a transfer of certain things assigned to your account, just flags set on character. Also, what's to prevent folks on PC versions from abusing this clone to give a friend their buddy on Xbox and PS4 a head start while they continue to play their PC character?

    Hey everyone,

I'll just go down the list from the previous green post:

@NewBlacksmurf: Your first statement is 100% correct. Your crowns will not carry over, but items you purchase with your crowns will. EU and NA are already "technically" separated, which is why the crown shop purchases don't transfer between those servers. This would essentially be the equivalent of purchasing something in the crown store on you PC account AFTER the console transfer. It would be expected that this item would not appear on the console version of the game.

@lonewolf0052 Crowns are specific to each account separately and are not linked.

@m.freethb16_ESO Yes. The accounts are separate, so you will be able to play at the same time.

@heroofnoneb14_ESO This AMA took place awhile back and a lot of information about the console transfer offer has become more solid.

So any DLC purchased will transfer, but plus membership won't, correct?

Also, all items and dlc will exist on both pc and console as a one-time clone, correct?

OK, thanks for confirming that the crown purchases will transfer to console. (only those prior to the copy)

Correct (with the exception that mail is not getting copied, so if you have items stored there, it *technically* wouldn't be all items)!

Here's the article for what does and does not come with you during the console transfer. The only oddball is the Pledge/Rings of Mara, and we have an associated article for those items here.
