not that it makes much sense but it still does a little as you dont need to have every weapon line on 50 to be vr14

The traits on some dropped weapons rotate and why you get junk like this. PvP sets from vendor bags/lotto don't have that excuse though.

Just like the "Footman Set" Having exploration on some items... like seriously? EXPLORATION??? THE MOST USELESS TRAIT IMAGINABLE. Or the destruction mastery set being well fitted..... yeah because sprint speed is really what a magicka build sorc needs..... ZOS literally put 0 thought into 99% of the item sets out there. My theory is they write down item sets, traits, and set bonuses on little slips of paper. They throw them all in one of those big game show drums that you spin and they just pull them out at random and go with them. I mean that's the only logical conclusion. 99% of the item sets in ESO have always been absolutely useless. And the VERY few sets people do want get these troll traits on them or sets that look like they would be awesome get troll bonuses applied to them. undaunted unweaver. Light armor set that sounds like oh that would be cool for a caster right? NOPE ZOS THINKS YOU NEED STAMINA! HAHAHAHAHAHA

Its not RNG. no other MMO in the history of gaming has ever left item sets simply up to chance. at least none ive ever heard of.

How would I know it's a set item? The image he provided shows just a named dagger with no set bonuses. Perhaps he shouldn't have snipped off the rest to avoid confusion amongst those who actually don't use, therefore don't know about it? Just saying...

This problem would go away if two people from ZoS took a weekend to redesign the worthless armor/weapon traits like sturdy, charged, powered, etc.

I have nothing against RNG traits, provided that we can change them. This change shouldn't come for free - after all, it would give us the option to turn a good piece of gear into a great piece of gear without having to farm more pieces until we get lucky. Maybe they could come up with a new rare crafting material (like nirncrux) and a new passive that allows level 50 crafters to change the trait.

As for fixed-trait gear, I have to say I can't figure out what ZOS are thinking when they offer end-game sets where some or all pieces come with traits like reinforced or sturdy. I mean, with RNG you can at least get lucky. With fixed traits, they basically prevent anyone from ever wanting to use those sets. Still, it could be fixed in just the same way as I proposed above.

If trait change isn't feasible or desirable for some unfathomable reason, then at least make most, if not all, gear bound on equip rather than bound on pickup. Then at least players could trade items with the lucky traits.
