Thank you for making ESO F2P, not that I stopped paying but I did stop playing.
Now after a 3 month break I have returned to a game that is so laggy I cannot PvP, not that I could very well before, but now it is worse.
Both my Laptop Client and Desktop Client get Patch Manifest Errors and Unable to Download blah blah errors so basically are screwed.
I cannot play PvP at all lately, I just get massive lag spikes then drop out completely.
I get infinite load screens and crashes.
I logged back into PvP last night and I stayed dead for a while and even crashed while dead. Amazing!
I hope all the new players have more patience than I.
This games is a lot of fun but infuriating to play reliably.
Are you ever going to fix these problems? or are you forcing everyone like me to console?

The problem could be more than just the amount of ppl online.
I will also suggest that Cyrodil by design has always been a problem and will continue to be a problem until the zone is broken up into smaller battles with a lot less people.

Not if instances are working as intended.

I actually didn't mean that it was the influx of new players / returning old players (if there has been) that is causing the issues.
I'm just stating that in the three months that I had off, apart from all the gameplay changes champion / justice system that enticed me to return, the stability and reliability of the game is worse, not better.

This is without a doubt the weakest excuse I've seen. Some MMOs have 10x the players that ESO has and without these issues (or if they do, a much faster resolution of said issues). In addition they clearly knew there would be a large influx of players and were ill prepared.

If their servers and setup can't handle a fraction of players that other MMOs can, they are self-limiting their own success.

This game is amazing ... i do not understand this hate ... WoW was so laggy at the 2 first years and with so much lack of content. They did it with time ... when they had the numbers of how many goes away and how many coming back or starting the game. They cannot invest a tone of money just for some kids who are playing different games every month.

I am just trying to tell you how thinks going for many years at every company.
Or maybe you think that they have need of disappointed customers ?

    Just saying...

Wow launched about 10 years ago. I think technology has improved a bit since then.

I had a pure piece of junk of a computer and WoW was smooth as silk right after 1 month.
Lack of content? After 6 months they put in enough end game and more group instances that would make ESO blush in envy.

This, without even saying how in WoW you could actually raise a character to max level with pure questing AND you had so many quests you did not need to play a super-lame "let's play every faction: Horde - all races + Alliance - all races" just to level 1 character to max.

I had a lot of characters, most of them did not just not need to play both factions. They could actually level up halfway to max level just doing each their own race quests.

Now, imagine an ESO where you have enough quests to level an Altmer to 50 by doing exclusively Altmer quests, a Nord doing exclusively Nord quests and so on. That's the difference. And that was a 2005 game.

If I hated the game I would not continue to be a subscriber, even during my three month break and have been since beta.
Just stating the fact that the lag and drop outs are worse than ever.
Not only are they frustrating me and unfortunately I am used to it as it has happened for a long, long time.
I would be very concerned as a Company if I just went F2P to get people back and draw in new customers while the performance of the product is still very poor.

so you would rather them drop all support for this game ending it now and shutting down the servers so no one can play..

    GTFO of ESO.
I play every class in every situation. I love them all.
