Why is the LFG tool is not working?

I know it is not working or may be I am setting a configuration option wrong for searching groups?

The Zones are full of people shouting for LFG in Zone chats but I never placed in a group with LFG.

One side question, is it possible in this game to place the skin of a weapon we like to the weapon we use because of the stats?

If you like the imperial skin and you have the imperial edition, yes.

Grouping tool hasn't worked properly since patch 1.5. And sadly, ZOS's desire to fix it is even worse than that.

    Nobody uses it.

The grouping tools are a bit sad in this game. It doesnt show who or how many people are looking to group up. Or looking to group up for certain content. It is a blind grouping tool. Meaning that you put what you are and what you are looking to do and when enough players are close enough in levels it forms the team.

Since it takes forever to work and seeing nothing for progress, few people use it. Its easier / faster to spam lfg in guilds and zones

My problem with spamming, I have limited time to play because of real life obligations and sitting in a Zone and spamming for 1 hour LFG is not really efficient use of my time, I can't even quest during spamming because the zones that are most efficient to spam have no quests for me.

Only role that can quickly go into groups are tanks, just because of that I start leveling my tank.

It's a very lazy feature in this game.

It's true that more people should use it, but it doesn't even work for those that do use it.

One of my biggest complaints. Asked on Twitter, with no response...ever. Asked on here, and well I can't talk about that. One day I hope I see a patch solely dedicated to the LFG! Hopefully...

Its a joke, that is what it is. Poorly coded, implemented and partly working.

The grouping tool is pretty terrible and the only workarounds to it are to be in a large enough guild to just run things yourselves without pugs or to spam in chat currently. It's pretty atrocious. The tool should allow people to queue based on level range of players, should show how many are looking currently, how many are in a group and what the group is lacking for a full team, notes on the run such as "speed run" or "first time running", the grouping options for dungeons should also be cross alliance. I say this because there are dungeons available in each faction that players can go to and these dungeons do help the other alliance in some way. That being said, it wouldn't be unacceptable for a temporary alliance of players in dungeon runs. This would also help bolster members who are LFG.

Nowadays the LFG tool is working and only limited by the number of people willing to queue.

The problem it has a few small bugs and people THINK that it just flat out doesn't work most of the time. They need to add some sort of transparency as to how many people of given roles and lvl are out there. We all know that Tank is the spot that most are waiting for. But if this was communicated to the player then maybe more people would roll tanks.

I'd love to be able to see something that shows how many players for each role are queued up in your lvl range out of all lvl ranges.
    Tank: 0 out of 0
    Healer: 5 out of 20
    DPS: 25 out of 89

This when you can see, oh, I guess I might actually wait in the queue for a while to get somebody to play with. Also let us queue for the vet or non vet pledge and automatically pick up the quest when we get into a group would get a LOT more people to use the thing.

I used the tool yesterday and marked myself as a healer and dps. I started searching at 5:00 p.m. and I finally got a group shortly after 10:00 p.m.. It seriously took 5 hours just to get a group. In EQ2 I never had wait more than 20 minutes to get a group with the automated LFG system. Is ZOS going to actually prioritize this or are we forced to hang out in the main city (in my case Mournhold) until we actually find a group to do something with. This is an MMO and yet they have managed to make grouping the most tedious and difficult thing to do in the game. It's mind boggling.

You honestly believe it's working and only that people are not using it? I'm skeptical.

This is actually not a bad idea at all. DPS is a dime a dozen which is why I started working on being a healer as a back up to hopefully get more groups.

I would love this idea or anything even remotely similar to it so that for one, we know the tool is working and two, we know how long we're likely to wait for a group. I don't mind waiting a bit but an hour or two is crazy when you realize that we're not playing on separate servers with a limited player base. The only limits (which should be removed for dungeons anyway) are based on alliance. The LFG tool should be popping dungeon queues left and right unless nobody's playing at those levels, which I find really hard to believe..
