i started lately the dungeons ,it's great ,but i had this thing, we did a dungeon in the sewers i think wayrest , and we finished it, and once done all partners disappeared, i check my map and see ther's a book i missed to take,so i make my way there ,and than a message says that time is up and exiting area, i run and got the book, and than was immediately out of the place ...why is that?
cause when u r in a group, u try to stick together, u dont even listen to quest dialogues or read cause otherwise you'll miss all the action, but what's the point in rushing me out after we finished the place ? what if i wanna clean the place out ? cant do that ? it's like ,dungeons ar great ,but only meant to killing frenzy, nothing else ?

When you dispand / leave the group while in a dungeon you will be kicked out after a short time. If this mechanic wasn't there you could force people to restart the dungeon by just leaving the group in the middle of the dungeon.

If you want to explore the dungeon and not just rush through, you should try to group up with players that have the same goal.

Yeah, this was actually a product of some customer based jackassery. The timer that you're talking about wasn't introduced until a while after the game was released. People would leave in the middle of a group and then hang out in the dungeon as a way of trolling the rest of the players in their former group, running around stealing chests and just in general being a total nuisance. And because the troll was still in the dungeon, the group couldn't replace them because they were still taking up a "player slot"... So, Zos added the timer to boot trolls and you get screwed out of lore now because of it.

strange, because i i tought that if u enter a dungeon alone right after someone, that other player will not be visible.and i checked that i tried it a few times, i got to a dungeon, waited outside, few ppl arrived,i didnt group with anyone, and when they all entered,i entered right after them and none of them was inside  .i think this all dungeon mechanism works only on group instances ,which means every group that entere gets her own instances of monsters, but what i dont get is why the hell they kick me out after i finished it? i mean, oviusly i'm still in the group i entered spawn,it wouldnt bother anyone.

They didn't kick you, the leader disbanded the group after the dungeon was finished. It's standard procedure.

That's why you always tell the group that it's your first time in there, that you need the quest, lorebook and optional bosses. Otherwise they might skip stuff you need, if it's not part of the daily dungeon objective. People are generally nice when you need the quest, in my experience. Just ask.

If you want to linger in a dungeon after the last boss is dead, than ask for leader of the group. Than you wont get teleportred out of the area.

Yeah, if you enter after someone else, and weren't originally in a group with them, they will be in a different "instance" of the dungeon than you are in. So, yes, you are correct. What happened to you however, is you were in a group first, then the group disbanded after the completion of the dungeon. Once your group disbanded, you were no longer a part of that "instance" (which was attuned to your whole group) and you were notified that you would be removed. It wasn't that Zos wanted to prevent exploration though, it was a reaction to a more game-breaking issue.

It used to be that if you kicked someone from your group for whatever reason, they were not forced out of the dungeon, and you could not replace them, so if they decided to hang around and troll you, you couldn't do anything about it. It sucks for those of us who want to hang around after the dungeon is done and do some exploring, but in the grand scheme of things it solved a much bigger problem with people trolling their former groups.

So, now, if you go into a dungeon as a part of a group, and then either the group disbands after finishing the dungeon, you leave the group, or are kicked from the group, you will be removed from the dungeon shortly afterwards.

To follow up, I also like being able to explore a dungeon after completing it because of all the great little details that you can miss while ripping through hordes of enemies. Developers really do put a lot of work into these things. I hope a patch comes out in the near future that refines how this system works (i.e. can distinguish between when a dungeon has been completed vs someone just left the group in the middle).
