Dungeon questions

As of today, I am vr 3. But since I play eso alone, the only dungeon i managed to run is fungal grotto at low levels. Here are my questions:
1. Even if I am veteran, can I run the dungeons in normal mode (not veteran)? Because the lfg tool (I know it's not used often) doesn't let me choose the non-veteran dungeons. I wanted to try the dungeons before running them in veteran mode.
2. I want to complete pledges, but, as said before, I never run almost all of the dungeons. Can I try joining a group even if I'm new to the dungeon? Are the dungeons so difficult I can't join if I never run them?

✭✭✭✭✭1. Yes, but the enemies will still be scaled to veteran level if you're playing alone. Dungeons now scale to the level of the group leader (vet dungeons will not scale below VR1).
2. You can, but my advice would be to make sure your group is aware that it's your first time running the dungeon. Most people don't mind pausing to explain fight mechanics, but most people do mind dying repeatedly because you didn't tell them that you would need to have the mechanics explained.
And just a side note: veteran dungeons are actually different instances entirely. The maps are (for the most part) the exact same, but the enemies are different. And enemies of the same level are much tougher in the veteran version of an instance.Edited by nerevarine1138 on March 28, 2015 11:36AM----

Haquor✭✭✭✭✭I did about 5 dungeons total before i hit v14. I only decided to pve for the undaunted pledge gear. You can still do every dungeon at their lowest level with a low level group member as your group leader due to the level scaling. And inexperience is not an issue especially for the normal dungeons. Honestly all the dungeons have very simple mechanics ...yes even the vet ones..so dont be concerned. Just joing a pug group for pledges and let them know u need an explanation. Or get yourself a friendly pve guild. Most are more than happy to educate new players.
