Hey all Turd here,

I am posting to let you guys know that WKB will be hosting a Vet DSA tournament open to all next SATURDAY 4/11/16 on the NA Servers! The rules will be posted soon once the tournament committee finishes hammering them out! We will be live steaming a few of our teams and having a great old time! So if you want to participate please respond to this forum post and we'll go from there!

As a heads up there will be a 40,000 gold entry fee for each team, all of which will go to the winning team! So there will be a good amount of gold to win in the grand prize! And there will be a super secret special prize to the team that can score 10,000 points on the leader boards during the tournament . So thanks all for reading and hope to see you participating!

OFFICIAL TOURNAMENT RULES

1) 40,000 GOLD Entry Fee for each team which needs to be payed in FULL by 4/9/15 or you will NOT be in the tournament! Of which the prize pool will be divided into the following.
-70% to First Place
-20% to Second Place
-10% to Third Place
*The money will be deposited into the We Kill Bosses guild bank so proper records can be kept for all monies received to the tournament committee.
*An excel spreadsheet will be made available to all teams as proof of all the money being accounted for in the prize pool.
*The 40,000 gold needs to be sent by the above date to @swagbandit in an IN GAME MAIL. We will provide you with a proof of receipt for your records if you so desire.

2) Roster and Team Name if desired need to be submitted by 4/9/15 too.
*You may elect to have one additional player on the roster in an emergency but need to notify myself or the officers ONE day in advance to continue.
*You MUST HAVE username AND character name in this email so we can verify who plays.

3)There will be TWO starting times which you can elect which are 12 PM and 3PM PACIFIC STANDARD TIME.

4) You're WHOLE team needs to be in WKB Teamspeak for the DURATION OF THE DSA RUN.

5) You need to communicate to WKB officers that you're about to begin your run so we can note it for our records.

6) Once you begin you have TWO hours to complete the best run you can with unlimited resets.

7) When your team begins one player needs to take a screenshot so we can use this for further verification that the aforementioned players on the roster are present and the start time if verified.
*You may email this screenshot ALONG WITH the completion screenshot at the conclusion of your run.
*We will also check to see if the same players are present in BOTH SCREENSHOTS. If not your team will be EJECTED WITH NO REFUND.

8)When complete you MUST send a email to: wekillbosses@gmail.com. ATTACHED to the email needs to be a screenshot of the score your team received and we need to be able to CLEARLY see all the team members present to verify.
*We have a photo specialist on hand to verify the authenticity of the screenshot and the time and date it was taken to make sure no cheating occurs. If such cheating occurs your team will be EJECTED from the tournament with NO REFUND.

9) Send ALL needed information to: wekillbosses@gmail.com

10) If your team fails to show up on time with no prior notification your team will be DISQUALIFIED AND NOT RECEIVE A REFUND.

11) If your team cannot make it for any reason and gives notification to the guild ONE HOUR BEFORE THE RUN we will REFUND ALL MONIES PAYED.

12) If your team does not show up at all or give any notification your monies will NOT BE refunded.

13)Players may only be in ONE TEAM AND ONE TEAM ONLY. They may not use another character on another team. If we find this happening BOTH TEAMS will be disqualified and receive NO REFUND.

14) Teams from ANY FACTION MAY COMPETE but need to be on the NA SERVER.

15) All WKB Officers and the GM will NOT BE competing in the tournament. We will officiate and moderate the proceedings.

Have WKB member disqualified themselves from this since they are the hosts.

I'll be honest, when I first read this it sounded more like a scam than anything else.

Secondly, people will really give a random guild 40,000g to enter a contest? Why? VDSA gives plenty of reward anyway. About 30-40k gold per run on average.

Finally, there is a vDSA tournament every four weeks and it's called the leaderboards. Free to enter, great rewards.

40,000 gold split four ways is only 10k per person. Not unreasonable really, if you think your team can win it all.

As long as this is actually on the up and up, which I believe it is, I welcome player-run events like this. Someone needs to breathe some life into this game's fun but increasingly dated content.

Sorry If it comes across as sounding like a scam but I can assure you its not. WKB is a well known guild, and has been since the beginning of ESO. We have been in contact with Jessica regarding the tournament and it is going to be promoted by them as well. We wanted to host a tournament for the good of the game and to have a little fun with gold on the line.

Our guild is well aware of the leaderboards, as we are currently first in Hell Ra, AA, and SO.

I'm all for player run events don't get me wrong. I have heard of your guild too so its not that I don't trust you or anything.

I just think you might be giving people the wrong impression when you are hosting an event as winner take all while not disqualifying yourselves, especially when it is known that you have the top scores. I guess to me it sounds too much like the world heavyweight champion charging people money for the chance to knock him out.

That being said, I think in all fairness, as the hosts you should consider not participating yourselves and instead act purely as the events moderator.

Completely understandable Derpsticks, and thats honestly something we didn't think of. It started as an in-guild event only, but as you know its tough to find tanks these days, so we told our guys they could bring one person from outside the guild, which evolved into, why not make it open to anyone who wants to participate. I see how we could be giving the wrong impression, but the top guys currently on the DSA leaderboards are not from our guild or faction. We just wanted to put something together that would be fun and spark a little friendly competition between all the guilds out there, and get to know some of the people in other factions we don't ordinarily get to talk to.

While I am not into the competitive gaming of TESO, I think it is fantastic that a guild promotes this kind of gameplay by organizing such an event. If I am able I will be merrily watch the streams!

Hey Trog, ZOS is going to promote the tourney starting tomorrow. Hopefully that will ease some of the doubt about the validity of the tourney.

We need a little competition in our gameplay to help push us to be better players. Also, your rules seem transparent enough that it seems you have sincere intentions. If I ran vDSA regularly I'd be inclined to give it a shot. Best of luck guys.

After further review we will make the following changes to the tournament. To make the most fair and competitive environment ALL WKB OFFICERS and Myself will NOT BE PARTICIPATING. We will only be here to moderate the tournament so all the competition is carried out in the most fair fashion possible!

lol @ something like this being run by the most SHADY dude in all of ESO. Be sure that if youre in WKB, you dont pass up Turd's best score or else he gets butt hurt and reprimands his guildies for running with non guild members then starts saying youre not allowed to run with certain people LMAO. This is actually a Cool idea I guess but only if it were done by ZOS or actual gms. Im sure my buddy Vashna will take this tournament if Turd even allows him to compete (wouldn't surprise me if he didn't) Sadly I don't run vDsa nonstop so I don't have all the speed strats. Death Dealer if you wish to troll please use factual evidence. Otherwise your argument is empty. There is no such rule i make for my guild members running with other guilds. They are free to do as they please.

And Vashna is free to run if he chooses.
The only time i have ever forbidden my players from running with another guild was when a guild was open exploiting content. So i forbid them for participating to maintain integrity of the game.
