Skills that changes appearence (Bound Armor, Example)

I hate them.

I go through a great deal of effort to make my mage look cool. Customization is something I really appreciate in MMOs and creating my own unique character is something I like to do.

So, I just discovered "Bound Armor". It gives some defense, but most importantly, it increase magicka by 5%, which is fantastic for a dps mage. BUT! There is 1 "problem", it changes your appearence and puts you in this really thin daedric ballet dancer armor that looks stupid as h*ll (in my opinion).

Lore wise, sure it's 100% appropriate, but I dont like being FORCED to look a certain way to gain an advantage. I suggest an option to enable/disable "Preventing Skills changing your appearence". And Im not talking about glowing hands, or minor lightning effects, I'm talking about ENTIRE reskins of your entire character.

Let people who enjoy the feature be able to enjoy it, and let people like me who hates that kind of forced appearence *badword*, disable it.

Hmm so I remember watching a build video with a sorc that uses bound armor but the skin looked very much like plate, I have yet to use it but wonder if it basis the new skin of what kind of base armor you have.
As to the original sentiment yes I could see not liking a forced appearance to get a nice buff, in other games I felt the same when I had to wear the Florescent pink and green armor because it gave such good attribute boosts.

Yea I agree that it is upsetting to be stuck with the bound armor appearance.

I think it makes total sense lore wise, which is important. I mean you are putting on armor over your armor that is conjured form a daedric plane. On the other hand, I also see the "I don't want to look that way" concept. *shrugs*

Never really bothered me but I can understand how someone could be miffed about it.

You can

• In every mission where you travel in time/change into someone else
• When you battle Molog Bal (knocked him from 3 million to 1 million hp pretty quick when I wolfed out!)

It used to be possible before 1.4, in some scenarios you would be stunned while transformed and able to use WW capacities while in humanoid form with some very funy results!

just make it look magical, transparent purple or blue fire color like the other summoning skills or just an aura - maybe like the bound armor from skyrim - have to have some visual because its how other players can tell your using it but completely replacing my characters look is not agreeable

Yep, agree with the op.

There's me, running with my guild, all of us wearing wedding dresses and I can't use bound armour else it replaces my dress.
