Help Understanding CPs

I have a V14, V8, lvl 20 and lvl 6 (just started today). When the update hit I had two vets and was awarded 70 CPs. At that time I only had three characters, two vets and one level 20. I used 67 of the 70 points on my V8. Started a new character today and my CP totals went from one Steed, one Ritual and one Atronach to 31 Steed, 30 Ritual and 30 Atronach. I see these totals on my V14, lvl 20 and lvl 6. When I view my V8 I only see one point in Steed, one in Ritual and one in Atronach. Is this correct? Maybe I am just confused on how this works.Just seems odd that I can access the additional 30 I received today for the new character on all characters EXCEPT my V8. Shouldn't she have access to the pool as well? I appreciate any help with this and sorry if I am misunderstanding how this works. Thanks!! :)

Is there any chance that you have already allocated points on the ones that look like they are missing points? The way that screen works is pretty confusing. But those numbers at the bottom of the screen show unallocated points. You have to look at the actual trees in each constellation to see what has been allocated.

My V8, the one in question is the only one I have used points on but I only used 67 of the original 70 given to me with the update. Before I made the new character today the totals were correct, one in each area left. These totals also showed the same on my V14 and lvl 20. I made the new character, was given 30 more CPs and all my characters EXCEPT the V8 show 30 more CPs added to the pool. She the V8, doesn't have access to them.

First time you log into a toon since patch 2.0, the CP numbers are WRONG. Just log it out and log it back in.
If its STILL wrong, then there is an issue.

Sounds like the one toon with only 3 CP points has not been logged in since patch 2.0
Once you have logged in all toons once and logged then out, then back in, each toon should have access to the full 70 CP points you have.

The pool you see on each toon is the account wide total, Making a new toon does not give MORE CP points, it just show the pool and each toon can spend the whole pool. So having 70 CP account wide means each toon can spent 70 each. Earning one new CP earned on a vet toon, means each toon has one extra CP to spend.

    I'm confused.

Champion points are shared with all your characters. You can use all 70 how ever you see fit, for each character on whatever bonuses you desire. Using 67 doesn't impact any of your other characters, you still have 70 for each of them. I'm not sure what you described up there so I don't know if this answers your question.

The CPs are a pool for any character to use however many they want until they are gone, if I understand that correctly. So if this statement is true, then the new 30 I received today should be available to my V8 just like the other characters but they are not.

Since I don't quite understand what you're saying I'll try to simplify this.

Your vr14 has 70 points to spend.
Your vr8 has 70 points to spend.
Your lvl 20 has 70 points to spend.
Your lvl 6 has 70 points to spend.

If you spend 67 points on your vr8..

Your vr14 has 70 points to spend.
Your vr8 has 3 points to spend.
Your lvl 20 has 70 points to spend.
Your lvl 6 has 70 points to spend.

If you gain 1 more cp..

Your vr14 has 71 points to spend.
Your vr8 has 4 points to spend.
Your lvl 20 has 71 points to spend.
Your lvl 6 has 71 points to spend.

If you then spend 71 points on your lvl 6..

Your vr14 has 71 points to spend.
Your vr8 has 4 points to spend.
Your lvl 20 has 71 points to spend.
Your lvl 6 has 0 points to spend.

    Does that clarify things?

Edit: Where are these new 30 coming from?

How did you RECEIVE 30 new one? Make a new toon, should show 70 CP points (as you have not used any of that toon) they are not new CP points, they are your normal pool. The only way to get new CP points is to earn them on a vet toon.

Your V14, V8, lvl 20 and lvl 6 each should have 70 CP points each, yes each toon should have the full 70 to spend plus any new ones you have earned on the V14 or V8.

I received 30 more CPs for the new character today which I found odd. Asked in chat and was told it was correct.

So do you have 70 total points or 90?

You said you had 70 and used 67, so 3 is all you should have left on your v8.

Why you have a total of 90 on your new character, I do not know but unless you had more than you thought, then it seems like you're champion points are broken.

I didn't get 70 per toon. I received 70 total. I have spent 67 on one toon which left me with three. I made a new character today and it added another 30 per slot.

Ok looking at your screen shots, your current CP is 90 for your account.

If you log onto your main V14 and move your mouse over the exp bar, is should show you have 90 CP points account wide. (It will say Champion Rank 90)
This means EVERY toon you have or make will have 90 CP points to spend (30 in each area)

BUT when you make a new toon, theses do not show up, until you log in and out. SO you made a toon, it showed no CP points and when you relogged in in, you had 90 (30 in each branch) to spend. Theses are not new points, its just CP points you have not spend yet on that new toon.

Every toon you have has a total of 90 to spend, they do not show up as EXTRA on your main as you have already spend all 90 on your main.

Now there WAS a bug, where you could only spent the CP on ONE toon, but that was fixed by logging in EVERY toon once, and then logging each out. THEN everyone of your toons should be able to spend all 90. If that is not the cause, you need to log a bug report cause your account is bugged, but your new toon is working as normal.

Can you please log in everyone of your toons and move the mouse over exp bar and see if everyone of your toons says the same thing. eg Champion Rank 90

Also while there, review the champion screen and see how many points you have spend in each sub area on each toon. Most likely you have spend the points on each alt and not noticed that you have as its not clear.

That should not happen. The 70 points should cap, that was for the initial login after the Champ system was released. Future characters should not be randomly awarding points. This is what is confusing people. When you say you earned 30 more points for a new character, after already getting your 70, is something that should not happen.

So most likely it is some bug where your CP is displaying incorrectly.

Yeah but I can spend them so it isn't a display issue. They are available and can be used by three of the four characters.

There is no such thing as Champion Points "per toon" in the sense you seem to mean, if you earn a cp on 1 character and have 8 characters, you can spend that same cp 8 times, once on each character.

I have a number of Vet rank characters. If I earn a champion point on any one of those, I can allocate that same point to each and every character I have.

And I have easily earned 30 points since update 6 hit, maybe that is where your extra points have come from (normal play).

    CP 1-0-1:
    • Your account has a "champion level" that can be raised by earning experience with any veteran rank character on that account.
    • The amount of champion points you can spend for each character is equivalent to your account's champion level.
    • Every character can spend the same amount of champion points.
    • Spending points on one character does not diminish the available points on another character.

I've only earned six CPs since the release. I keep screens of my totals, when they are given and the CP total after in case they go poof I can prove what I had.
    CP 1-0-1:

Spending points on one character does not diminish the available points on another character.

    Fin.

If the above is true then my points have been messed up from day one. When I spent the points on my V8, my V14 didn't have any points to spend and I have only applied points to my V8.
