Serious Noob Question

Sorry for not knowing this but when you reach veteran rank 1 am I suppose to get a main quest to do so I can do the cadwell silver and gold? or did I miss something? Thank you in advance and I am EP if that matters.

You have to work your way through coldharbors main questline first

Once you finish the fight with Molag Bal it'll automatically start you on the silver/gold quest line.

If' you've defeated Molag Bal, go to the harborage and look for Cadwell.

You get the quest for silver and gold after you finish the main quest and kick Molag in his B... uhm... well, after that anyhow. There's a nice little saved the world party in the harborage, and after that you can talk to Cadwell there, and he'll send you off to silver. And once you finish silver, just go back to the harborage, talk to him, finish that one and go for gold.

Level doesn't really figure into it that much, though if you follow the usualy playthrough most will have that time come round V1. But some go for cadwells at 47, others at V3... all depending on how much they played.

Just follow the main line quest and return to "The Harborage" at Stonefalls if I do remember correctly you will receive the Silver and Gold there...

You need to have finished The Army Of Meridia tp unlock northern coldharbor to finish the missions and then that will unlock the last companion mission (main story) which in turn unlocks Cadwell's Silver. After beating Silver you unlock Gold.

Just note, you don't have to be VR1 to fight Molag Bal or finish the Coldharbor quests. You just probably are going to be VR1 or close to it by the time you finish up Cold Harbor MQ (not all of it, just the main story line concerning the Plane Meld and the Shackle) and Molag Bal.

The only level restriction is 45, that unlocks Message Across Tamriel quest, but you can get to cold harbor before that, but know sometimes things get buggy, like the Grounds Keeper will give you quests, but you might have to relog to actually use your character or open doors, weird stuff like that.
