My PvP suggestions and feedback! From a PvP lover! <3

Posted this in the PvP Combat, but as one suggested it might be better to post it here. If a Mod can delete my other thread that would be nice :)

Being a new player, I just got the game after playing it during the beta. What intrigued me the most was the character customization and the glorious PvP. I love PvP because its never the same, its the most dynamic playstyle there is. PvE is fun too, but I'd like to make few suggestions for PvP!

First of all, something Warhammer Online actually did right was the ability to play PvP, being able to level up doing PvP from the start, and being rewarded for PvP mostly equally to doing PvE. I'd love to be able to play PvP directly from level 3, even if all I can do is autoattack! What I'd suggest is smaller scale PvP, like battlegrounds, which you can join even from level 3. The level 10 requirement for Alliance Wars is good where it is I feel, but I'd love smaller skirmishes in the game, even for the low levels!

Rewards for PvP! I love how you get rewarded with loot, gold and experience in the alliance wars! But something I felt could use some improvements is the roster boards you get the quests from. I'd like that changed a bit, instead of accepting a quest for example "kill 20 enemy players", kill the enemy players and then return to the roster, turn it in, accept it again and repeat. Its a lot of unnecessary running and feels a bit tedious with the "kill players cap". What I'd suggest is a PvP "score system". The game automatically knows how many players you've killed, or assisted killing. How many keeps you've taken part of attacking/defending etc. Then when you feel like you've had enough of PvP, you just go to a NPC, talk to him, and as the game already know how much you've contributed, you could get rewarded depending on your total contribution. This way you dont have to bother getting all the quests, turn them in, accept basically the same quest again and so forth.

My third concern is very simple, if you've helped defending a keep or attacking one, you die before its actually captured and have to respawn, do you get rewarded even if you're not in the combat area at the moment its captured? I feel its very hard to know when you actually are counted towards the contribution, a better indication on this could be useful. And I really hope you get rewarded even if you had to respawn.

These are my concerns for now, however. There are a few things I absolutely LOVE and have been done RIGHT!

The sieges are epic! I had the most awesome siege yesterday. We were defending a keep from the yellows, managed to hold and counter attacked and sacked their keep! The sight of siege quipments firing is awesome! Good job here!

The fact that you dont lose equipment durability when dying in PvP is very good! Thanks for this!

Rewards are good, but the systems for gaining em could use some polish, as mentioned above ;)

I would also love to see upgrades in PvP. Like upgrading the castles with strong NPC guards (maybe a guild feature for holding a keep?), or doing quests within the the PvP zone to summon a large NPC boss or army to help fight by your side.

Thats it for now, thanks for reading! Just wanted to point out that my biggest concern is I'd love to be able to level up via PvP even from the earliest levels! I'd really, REALLY love to see this.

Since you want a comment, you are on for the most part with you observations. Heads up though, this is Elder Scrolls and its the game story lines that its all about. You will not see leveling in Cyrordil, although there are a few good stories that can be picked up, especially around the little villages. More may come when they finally implement the central city.

I suggest you look at the main quest lines to level, and PvP for your good times. You will also see this is important for you Champion Point optimal gains.

I leveled a couple characters from 10 up to VR5 in Cyrodiil at launch and it was a very slow process.

It has improved a lot - now it is much faster to level in PVP and you can use AP to buy Grand Soul Gems (I had to spend all my gold to buy stacks of these, as they don't drop for lowbies). Also, now there is a non-veteran campaign, Blackwater Blade, in case you want to play with other low levels.

I'd suggest to take your time leveling in Cyrodiil and enjoy the game, improving your skills while you increase in level, then go back and do the main quest when you reach VR1 or so. If you really want to grind to reach max level, you can do it in PVE in about 5 days, but it's extremely boring.

The singelplayer games are about the story, yes. This is the first MMO however, who is to say leveling through PvP could not be a valid thing? Besides, you do already level in cyrodiil, I just wish it was better than it is now. And if you absolutely need to have a story about it, the story could be the factions have so many casualties they are willing to accept level 3 characters to join them ;)

The level 10 restriction is good for cyrodiil, would be nice to have a lower level bracket in smaller battlegrounds/skirmishes though
