WoW patches are fast, EQ2 patches would be 30 minutes or so for something like this. AA was fast, Rift was quick. SWtoR was pretty rapid if I remember rightly.0 -

Even bug fix patches in EQ2 Rift etc take a couple of hours. If its just a server restart any game is going to be fast or a hotfix.4

As a long time WoW vet(Zul'jin4lyfe), not all patches are fast and it depends on the content. Most patch/maintenance days are 5-6 hours long. If you're talking about rolling resets, that's generally a hotfix day and often times is only around 15 minutes. If the patch contains new content, such as when they launched SoO, it can go far longer than normal maintenance days. It also doesn't take much to sift through the forums to find 'zomg patch day' hate threads of where maintenance was extended, sometimes more than once.
People just need to realize that when it comes to mmos, there are maintenance days period. Sometimes they're quick, other times they are not. They may encounter a snag and need to roll back and reintroduce the patch. We don't know. I do know that these 'zomg patch day' threads are exhausting to see...in every mmo ever.1 -

I used to hang out with this Iguana that taught me many great things about life, as he hung proudly from my curtains, embarking his vast expanse of wisdom every time I came home from work. One day he drank something bad in the sink and died. But he was a wise and gentle soul. A teacher of sorts.
