It will tell you when you hover over a set piece how many you have equipped. There's your answer.

No accessories are not armor, so that doesn't count towards your five light to get the armor type set bonus.

I know. If you hover over a piece of armor of the set, it will tell you how many count as part of the set. If you have one piece of the set as armor and three accessories with the same set name, it will say you have one piece of the armor set. Again, there's your answer.
