[Bug] Eruption (morphed from Ash Cloud)

Hi fellow DK's,

I've been raiding some time now in 1.6 and got every single boss and raid some strange results on the 'Crit Chance' of the DK spell 'Eruption'

First Try with around 50% spell crit

Second Try with around 60% weapon crit

*note here: 2nd try with my vet4 stamina dk...wanted to test it with weapon crit too thats why the fight is so much longer*

I just made those two test quickly for this thread but like i said, i have the same crit values every single raid on Serpent, Mage and so on. It always around 24% Crit chance with around 60% chance on my char

As you can see in both screen it did hit over 150 times with should give a realtively correct prediction what the crit chance is.

I tried some other addons but i am getting the same results there aswell. The other DK's in my raid got the same problem and are reporting the same crit values with this spell(~25%) although theire chars, like mine, are above 50% spell crit/weapon crit)

Thank you for pointing this out. Im gonna test too and hopefully Zos can get this sorted.

Yeah i tried a few more but i hardly even get close to my character crit values. Its always 20% less no matter if its weapon or spell crit.

And why we are at this topic. Basically everytime on every fight i got 6-12% less crit value than my character has(on force pulse/burning embers and so on). I think the spell crit from the apprentice doesnt really count into the spells but i have to look into that more...

Tested it tonight, through multiple bosses, variety of mobs as well. Definitely bugged. I'm getting eruption @ 20-25% crit and character sheet reads 49%. @ZOS_GinaBruno

How was the crit on your other spells? did it come close to your character sheet?
Cause mine are always around 6-12% less then my character sheet tells me. On every spell. Like I said before, i think there is also a bug with the 12% Champion System Crit as it doenst apply to the spells or whatever. Can't explain it otherwise why i get around 10% less crit on every other spell i am casting through a 10min fight like SO Hardmode

Have noticed the same and submitted a /bug last week.

I have seen it mentioned in passing in several other DPS threads HERE in particular and last i recall the conversation was a toss up between whether Light Armor crit passive was bugged or the Apprentice +12% was bugged, or if it was still an issue with Sea of Flames/Inferno.

In essence my character sheet crit and FTC don't say the same thing, and haven't been close since 1.6. Long parses my Crit is between 12% and 30% off from my character sheet value.

My testing (1.6 not 2.0) showed Sea of Flames suppressing crit instead of boosting it, so I went to Inner Light and get results closer to my character sheet.

Again, i sent in a /feedback, /bug and /report to submit my findings and have yet to get a response.

When I looked at my other spells in comparison I thought they were fairly comparable to my char sheet. Maybe now that you mention it they were about 6-8% lower. I think I remember seeing most abilities 40%+ - but I was at 51% crit yesterday d/t some random PVP buff. I'll look again tn.

My experience is that all my damage meters are incorrect at the moment. FTC will register as "left combat" while in the middle of a fight, giving a much higher number than expected (due to a 3s parse). CLS will do the opposite and keep me in the fight after it is over returning a much lower number than expected (due to no more damage being applied but damage ticker is still running). I'm assuming that these addons are experiencing bugs due to the added complexity of the CS and API discrepancies but who knows maybe it's the game.

Has anyone else tested this? This is a huge dps loss to dks if this is indeed true for all of us. What about testing this with other damage add ons like combat analytics, anyone tried?

i tried it aswell to the start of 1.6 with combat analytics but the result didn't change, haven't tested it with this addon in the past days though
