Ability to purchase extra Deletes in crown store...

...or at least give returning players to "unlimited" more than 2 deletes. I have OCD, and since characters look slightly different and you can't look at their run and animations while creating them, it takes me a while to make a character that I'm comfortable with and that doesn't activate my OCD. I came back to all 8 character slots filled, 4 mules, and 4 characters that I don't feel like playing anymore due to game changes, then I used up my 2 deletes trying to make a character that doesn't look ugly when I actually start playing it. So now I have to wait 24 hours to even be able to play, which I'll probably waste that 1 delete gotten tomorrow, and have to wait another 24 hours to play, so it'll probably take me a few weeks to even be able to play....I hate OCD.

Out of curiousity, are you legitimately diagnosed with OCD or do you just care about details? I have a hard time believing there are so many people with OCD playing this game.

Anyway, I recommend installing the other server or PTS client, creating characters there and making screenshots of their sliders. Once you find the look you like, recreate it on your real server.

I know it's not the easiest way, but what I ended up doing was dl'ing the EU version as well as the NA. I use the EU server to try out toons to see if I like them. If I really am satisfied with my choices, I make a mental note (but a screenshot would be better) of the sliders. I remake the toon on NA and when I get the alt itch, I go back to EU. Most of the time they end up not being right in some way on EU, so I know what differences I need to make for NA. The EU toons don't get past lvl 4-5 since I just noodle around the starter areas, seeing how they feel to me.

ZOS could make a bundle off me buying more character slots....

The PTS Client might be a good idea for you, it would allow you to try characters without worrying about them on the live server. Screen Shots at the creation page so you could see what your settings were would go a long way towards replicating them on live.

If you run in Trials and you wonder why you're not doing the sorts of damage you see on youtube videos and on forums, but you reject advice based on extensive testing, claiming "I don't agree" you're the toxic one.

Why are you creating and then needing to delete more than the limit?

    Need vs. want?

The delete limits are in place to prevent spam. They are working as intended. I did not see these posts until the need for a subscription was dropped. Now they are all over the place. Every one of them smells fishy to me.

Technically to prevent bots, not spam. But, you know. We all want to see the bot trains return, right? :\

I've already explained why, and I'm not saying take the limits off, i'm asking for an option to BUY more deletes, set a limit on the amount you can buy in a certain amount of time if you have to. How would having that option bring back spam bots, if they have to buy the deletes, they'd be losing money. My 8 slots were already full, thus the need to delete them. I'm sure a lot of people are in the same boat i am, how exactly is it fishy just because you don't understand OCD?

Also, I'm pretty sure the disability act covers any and all social media, including online gaming. The limit to delete and start over, which is a staple of OCD, activates the OCD response in certain people. It's the same thing with color blindness, If certain skill circles are red or green, color blind people will miss them, most games have changed those colors to suit the color blind needs. I'm just asking for an option to buy more deletes, what's so wrong about that?

As I have said in other threads on this topic, you are asking for the wrong solution to the problem. There should be ways to change your character's appearance in-game after you have created them so that you can make adjustments. ZOS said they are working on a barber shop feature, so it will happen (and my khajiit sorc will finally get rid of her awful hair!)

In the meantime, this might be a good compromise if you have the bandwidth to download the PTS.

I understand it fairly well, actually. And, while I'm sympathetic, this is one of these cases where the net negative vastly outweighs the benefit.
Also, I'm pretty sure the disability act covers any and all social media, including online gaming.

In theory? Probably. Good luck finding an attorney who would represent you on that one, though. As I recall, the case law is not in your favor.

It's the same thing with color blindness, If certain skill circles are red or green, color blind people will miss them, most games have changed those colors to suit the color blind needs.

It's actually not, though. OCD is a psychological condition. While there is a chemical component to it, it is not a physical disability in the same way as... say, the tendons missing from my legs, or someone with color blindness. It doesn't mean it's less debilitating, or less valid, but it does mean that is a poor analogy.

Someone with color blindness cannot overcome it with therapy, just like I can't grow new tendons to reinforce my knees. If you're in therapy, you should have been taught some coping mechanisms, and this might be a time to try to employ them.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say you weren't here at launch, when the botswarm was in full effect. If you'd seen that, I think you'd understand the vicious reaction you're getting now.

If you're on the level, and this isn't an astroturfed post from parts unknown, I'd recommend getting in touch with a GM in-game and talking to them about getting some kind of exemption applied to your account... or, holding out for the barbershop whenever that rolls around.

Yes, bots and gold spammers. I was here at launch and it was not fun.

Selling extra deletes to players with this kind of compulsion would be an extremely exploitative business practice.

Character edit is what you need, not more deletes.

All these character delete threads are making me nostalgic for the good old days, walking into a delve and looking for my good friends Zdigihfvf, Yfjfjegs, Xdjdnkey, and their identical Nord Templar clones to show me where the boss was going to spawn, so I could jump in the middle of their sparkly jabbing circle and start wildly swinging my weapon around hoping to get a hit in when it spawned. Good times, those. Oh, and the colorful emails they would send me in game! I miss them so!

(For anyone who can't tell, I am kidding.)

What I think everyone should be asking for instead is a character modification feature available either for in game gold or for crowns.

My personal record was, I think logging into 28 messages from them... though, that might have included a couple hireling mails, I don't remember.

There isn't? I always thought it was 3 a day, then you get one back every 24 hours. But I don't know, I've deleted only one character during the entire year I've been here.

It certainly stocks up to 3 deletes. No idea how fast those come back, and I haven no desire to find out, given I've put a lot of time into all of my characters.
