Fastest way to go through VR1-14?

So I just rerolled a character and he is approaching 50. I've heard grinding VR ranks in Craglorn doesn't work anymore. What is the fastest way to get through VR levels besides that?

Also for the sake of keeping everything in one thread, how do you go about getting to VR14 specifically from VR12? A lot of my friends and I have came back this week as VR12 and we are very lost on what to do.

Just go to the same lowbie grinding spots from the other factions (your Cadwell's silver and gold areas).

Do everything the game has to offer. Entered Craglorn past VR13 and I got to VR14 in it instantly.

Completing each vet zones (all quests, delves, dolmens etc.) nets a Vet level in about 12 hours. Should get you to around v11. Grinding in the final Caldwell's Gold zone is good way to level up. Also DSA can net 200K xp per run, so about 5 hours per vet level if you have a good group.

Sorry because I dont have any imput to OPs question but I need a question answered myself.

Im VR4 halfway to VR5 and Im almost done with my 4th VR zone and have 1 left in this faction. Is there a general level I should be before I move on to the next faction in the list to avoid grinding as much as possible?
Think before you act. There are always consequenses to your actions eventhough you may not notice them

Is grinding the silver/gold areas faster then normal questing/dolmens/etc?

    Yes.

Significantly? I would like to get the skill points from the main story quests but it really just depends on how much faster grinding is. Also, what is the silver/gold area assuming your a DC player?

If you are really grinding, I'd expect a VR rank every 2.5-3hrs or so based on what others have said.

Anything that does not involve doing DC & AD quests is a welcome suggestion.
If i'm not going to hate this games guts in under 10 mins i will not do a single quest in those areas.
And since i like everything else about it, there should be another way.
I suppose that only leaves me with PvP and dailies / dungeon runs after tonights patch.

You can complete Cyrodiil quests, there are also many PvE objectives in Cyrodiil.

There's no shortcut, although some speed their way up the vr ranks by forming groups for each zone and running anchors over and over. I tried it for a couple zones and it's fun, but by no means the best way to play the game. Gets repetitive.

I still don't understand why companies make games. Why don't they make a game with ONLY endgame so we can skip all that other junk. I am being serious here and not trying to put down on anyone. I bet the company that says here...make a character and start raiding and grinding for gear immediately will make billions.

If I had to guess, it is so that people don't get bored of the endgame content. However, with an exponential progression system like the Champion Points, there is absolutely no reason getting to endgame has to take this long.

If you want to end game content at all during the next 6+ (probably 9+) months, you're going to need a V14.

Here's a novel concept. You could play the game by doing quests. Currently that's the fastest way to level up. If you find mind numbing tedium more your speed, there is grinding as an option.

Depends on the quests. If there are a lot of errands (run here, then over here) with out much killing, you start to fall way behind in pacing. If the quests take you through mobs you can grind while you complete them, then it is not slowed down as much, but still noticeably slower. I found too many which require you to run back and forth most of the time.

You could always just follow the main quest (where most your skill points come from) and grind in between.

there is not real 'fast' way. any way you look at it, form grinding to questing, you looking at at least a week to a month of hardcore gaming
