Your hardware clearly wasn't prepared for the flood of players that wouldn't support the game unless it was free.

Now I have spent the last hour sitting here trying to log in, getting the error <<1>> over and over and kicked back to the login screen, which basically means there was no slot available in any instance of the zone my character logged out in.

Actually their hardware wasn't prepared for the addition of umpteen sacrificial NPCs to allow the mindless slaughter inflicted on this game with Justice and the large concentration of those who sadly enjoy such mindless killing.

I dont know wether or not it's hardware issues or not. What I want is for them to acknowledge the problem and make a public statement that they will do their best to fix it. So far, all I have personally seen, is a few forum moderators asking people where they lag, although with the sheer amount of players having issues it should be furiously obvious that it's not a problem from our side.

If the rampant murders in Tamriel is causing this reduced performance, they had better roll back to having NPCs being impossible to attack. I see mostly bad things come from it anyway, like new clueless players running around and thinking that they should just kill everything in sight in the starting area.

Having an "achievement" associated with murder makes it even less clear that you are not supposed to unsheath your greatsword as soon as you wake up and kill the first NPC you see.

A relaunch with the same quantity of bugs and no new content. But damn, that cash shop is working flawlessly.

My system has repeatedly crashed since the update.

It rarely did beforehand. Multiple repair attempts have not rectified the situation.

    That cannot be coincidence.

    1 global server but:
    subcribe "mirrors" without lag
    others should lag as hell

It probably isn't, but it probably is a combination of factors, one of which is your system setup. Otherwise, we'd all be experiencing the exact same thing.

The flood will decrease and leave the game sooner as you might think.

Many players that quitted ESO months ago just came back to see what's changed and when they finally realized nothing changed they will be gone again.

That's why it is no relaunch. It's a model change with some usual updates an MMORPG gets. Tamriel Unlimited is in no way a relaunch.

I'm curious to see if tomorrow's maintenance will provide any improvement. Now that they've had several days to observe the loads perhaps they can make some adjustments.

I get <<1>> whenever I attempt logging on and forget that i'm connected to my corporate VPN. Disconnect the VPN and it works flawlessly. Based on this I would guess the error is network connection related.

I know that doesn't help you much... but it's a start.
End the tedious inventory management game.

I can't speak for the error <<1>> problem, but ever since 1.6, the game has been freezing up and stops responding, making me need to close the game and log back in. Its not been that huge of a problem for me yet, but it still needed to be addressed.

It isn't just the <<1>> issue which seems to be related to zone load (logging into Rawl'kha) and eventually goes away.

Right now there are too many people in the normal zones for them to be much fun. Everything is dead by the time you roll through on a quest. It reminds me of the early days of bot farming. :p
