What is error #1

As the title suggests, does anyone know what this <<1>> error is, during the day ( australian time) logins are fine;
but of the evening i login to my account - see my characters but when i attempt to log on to a particular character i get this error.....

Have been here since early access and i've never encountered this error before....

It's either the:

1. "Oops! Our server hiccuped and we don't want to tell you!" error; or the
2. "Aha! Gotcha! You thought you were going to login, didn't you!" error; or the
3. "Hey, mom! He's trying to login again!" "Go get 'em, son!" "Yes, mom... Got you, dude!" error; or the
4. "We don't have a clue what's causing this..." error; or the
5. "Dang it! We forgot to put the text in the look-up table for that error..." error; or the
6. error code got corrupted in transmission and couldn't be translated by the client.

I haven't got a clue... Pick one.

I've had that error 3 times since Update 2 and never before. I've been wondering what that might be because it looks like a bug with those weird greaterthan/less than symbols around it. Also fun since Update 2 is that the game has crashed for me 4 times now and the launcher tells me I have a "PatchManifest Error" even after 3 full repairs. Go ZOS! Woot!

i haven't had any crashes but that manifest error has popped up a few times after several repairs too.

Funny, I just hit Alt + Tab during a loading screen to read a bit on the forums while waiting. Was browsing this thread then checked back if the client had loaded the next zone already -> Error <<<<<1>>>>>

I'm slightly confused, Update 2 was in June last year.

edit: Oh wait, you mean 2.0.1. Nevermind then.

Been getting this error for months on my laptop for the live server...
Yet the PTS works just fine.
