Cannot complete Provisioning Writ...

Day after day goes by and I cannot complete even my very first Writ because I don't have and cannot find the recipes. Seems poorly thought out.

Woodworker - collect mats, complete Writ.

Blacksmith - collect mats, complete Writ.

Clothier - collect mats, complete Writ.

Alchemy - collect mats, complete Writ.

Enchanting - collect mats, complete Writ.

Provisioning - collect mats, complete... oh wait I don't have the recipe... Seems broken to me.

So instead of just complaining, I'll propose a solution.

Have the system generate a Writ for only the recipes you do know. And also when you do the quest for specializing, give a couple random recipes as a reward so you're not left out in the cold.

Yes this is a huge problem for new characters who have no recipes in their knowledge base.

LOL, just used my main crafter to fill writs for two alts. Guess I was lucky my main knows many recipes. As an alternative, guild mates might fill writs for little or no charge. Certainly agree this craft writ is broken. System should only ask for known recipes or provide recipe for unknowns.

I have no idea. Its 1.5 predecessor Citrus Malt was equally difficult to find.

If you are stuck and can't find the recipe you need, find a provisioner who knows the recipe. In order to complete the writ, you just need the item in your inventory: it can be crafted by someone else. Ironically, I have often seen the reward of the writ is the recipe you needed for the writ in the first place.

I didn't know I could have my provisioning writ crafted by an alt or someone else.
I always thought it was a way to have me searching for recipes.

Not a good solution. They need to fix it so that the writ knows what recipes you have that or gives you the recipe. Its crazy I keep getting writs for recipes I not only dont have but noone has even heard of.

told them this in pts they did nothing. The first three recipes they give you from signing up should be the ones you need to start the writs. New players are just going to be further disappointed with this game. Went from 1 to vet 1 since the 1.6 hit and didn't start being able to do the writs until 50 in provisioning never found the recipes and I looked everywere. was always finding recipe higher then the writ requirement in the zone I received the writ.

Yay another day another Writ I cannot complete.

I currently have 22 recipes, and spend roughly and hour or more a day hunting for new ones.

The system is simply either A: broke or B: poorly thought out. Or you could just say that it is both.

I know of a Guild Kiosk that has this stuff. I had to buy some last to finish a Writ. I bought 23 of them from a Kiosk.

They were cheap which is weird as the Recipe is one of the rare ones. If anyone on NA needs a bottle, send me a message.

The L10/L15 recipes were, and I see still are, an annoyance because experimentation showed me that you had to find them in a limited area of the region within a limited value of levelling. On top of that the RNG within the levels could still get L1/L5 recipes making it much harder.

L10 recipes could be found most easily in the second third of the first region by characters L8-L15. L15 recipes could be found most easily in the last third by characters L12-L15. Once you levelled to L16+ you automatically started finding L20 recipes.

It wouldn't surprise me if that's an issue unfixed yet.

#edit: I also found that searching through the cities of other regions didn't improve your chances of finding the recipes but did refresh the furniture when you returned. That doesn't help now, when the justice system makes searching more difficult and slow.

same here..i searched almost everywhere for this recipe ..on guild stores,entire daggerfall covenant, i have hundres of recipes but this one ? no way!

I have not had that much success dropping a writ and getting a new one and getting different things asked for. Maybe I needed to wait a day or two.

However, just search the guild stores. Or, if your on the NA server, send me a message in game and an offer, and I will sell you a couple of bottles of the stuff.

Yeah, if you drop a writ and pick it right back up again, you'll get the same writ. If you pick it up again the next day after they've reset you'll get a different one (well, you might: the RNG gods might give you the same one that you dropped out of spite).

The real issue is not having the recipes needed to complete the writs. Very poor planning.

Really? I have literally never had that happen, and several of my characters are permanently parked there when they're not off questing in a different zone. Are you seeing this happen on the EU server? I'm on NA.

I haven't gotten that far on the EU server yet. It happens frequently on NA since 2.0.1 dropped.

Seeing it on NA, had to move characters out of Rawl'kha it finally got so bad. I generally don't find the shops there so great for price or carrying what I'm looking for anyways. With the endless loading, they are now my last place to check.

I was lucky my provisioner knew the recipe that became this before 1.6. I am double lucky he can craft it for my other character to complete the writ. I have been checking shops, running low level dungeons, and stealing out of containers, and I have yet to find this one in the wild post 1.6.

Ask for someone to make you the meal/drink or buy the recipe. Green recipes are cheap.

I put food in the bank of one of my guilds so people can get them (or ask to be given) the things you need for the daily writ.

Hmm, weird. I haven't had that much time to play since 2.0.1 - maybe that's why I haven't seen it (although I have logged on to each of my characters every day to get my hireling mails and give 250 gold to the stablemaster, and I haven't had any problem logging in to the characters parked in Rawl'kha).

You're more likely to notice it on the weekends.

This is a huge, broken issue that need fixed!

If the writs can't dynamically pull from your known recipes at least make them use ones that can be obtained from a vendor.

Some people also have to learn to interact with others and ask for assistance. Most of the level 1 writs only take 1 ingredient. As they get higher they take a few more, but not many.

Most VR players who are in the lower areas due to Alts or picking up pledges are more than wiling to help out if you ask through zone chat, and ask for a reasonable amount. Offer to pay them a little gold.

Also just suck is up and be willing to pay 100g for a recipe you need from a guild trader. You will make that gold back very easily.

What also helps is working on two characters at the same time. While you level one, at least once a day, go in to the alt character and spend time stealing and getting the recipes and doing writs. I have done this with my characters and I have been able to buy all my bag spaces AND get my horse to 60 carrying capacity for each character over the last couple of months.

This also helps you out when you get a really big bounty on the main toon you are leveling. You just have to find a save spot and log out of that one and play another character for a while.

It's kinda like Skyrim with this, just eat every ingredient you run into....after that it's really easy to figure out the list, but that's for potions....the food is a whole other story for my, haven;t finished one yet
