Crafting Material Storage Tab

I am really enjoying the crafting system. it's a lot of fun, but the amount of materials is overwhelming for storage. The system itself needs to be streamlined. There needs to be a crafting material storage tab that can store 100 (250 would be ideal, with increments of 250 more available for crowns up to a total of 1000, but you get 250 to start off with when the feature is implemented) of an item. As it stands now, I have alts that are just for extra storage. I have to log on to each of these, go to the bank and withdraw the items. Why not just implement crafting material storage? That way you don't disrupt the flow of game play. The last thing I want to do when I am out questing is have to stop, go to a wayshrine, run to a bank and deposit a bunch of stuff. Why not have a hotkey that allows you to deposit all raw crafting materials into a crafting material storage tab from anywhere in the game world? It could be account bound so that any character on the account could craft from it.

I am really surprised at how in-depth the crafting features are in this game, but they are coupled with archaic systems in terms of ease of use and also convenience. I don't want to have to stop doing what I am doing to run to the bank. I don't want to have to use characters as mules with unneeded interruptions to my game play by having to switch characters frequently. I love crafting and I love the questing in this game. Should I have to interrupt that constantly because my inventory is constantly filling up with crafting materials? A button on the inventory page marked "Store Crafting Materials" could automatically deposit all those into the storage. What would be the drawback to such a feature? I free up room so I can keep playing what I am playing at the moment and it allows me to craft later when I feel like crafting.

Thanks for your time.

You're preaching to the choir here buddy. We've been asking for that since launch. At least with 1.6 (which is pretty recent) Provisioning mats are reduced dramatically and now things stack in 200 per stack instead of the 100 it's been!

The Forums don't get much real dev attention. Be sure you make suggestions in game with the feedback option for more direct exposure.

its considered a time sink so you're not blowing through the game too fast. its why we don't run faster, cant port out of nowhere without spending coin, why banks aren't directly adjacent to wayshrines and things like that. its also a good vehicle for a coin sink. gotta spend that coin for packs per mule, bankspace etc.

trust me, I hate...HATE having to packmule it all back and forth, burn time logging in and out of a half dozen characters etc.

however, they are never ever going to change it beyond tossing us a bone once in awhile.

We need one of these. Hell make it a purchaseable separate bank tab for all I care.

Once you get your bank up to 200 to 240 slots, you can use the bank as intended, a Craft Storage for all your crafters to store mats and access them.

I am at 210 now and I still have my clothier/woodworker, enchanter and blacksmither carrying their own mats. Note I keep all levels of mats because I make things for all levels of characters. I could probably make it so that the bank only stores Refined mats. The problem is, I need about 50 to 70 slots free to make the bank work efficiently for loot farming. If I was willing to give up that space, then the bank could store all my refined mats and life would be good.

But, at 170 bag spaces, my crafters can carry their own gear and still have room to loot.
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.
