Just a simple question how many recipex have you gathered by now.

I have

green recipes 234 out of 234
blue recipes 183 out of 198
purple recipes 51 out of 54

so there are still 18 to go

anybody with more luck ?
(Ok I could have bought somne more but more than 20k for a blue
recipe seems unreasonable to me at the moment)

Well I'd check, but where do you get those numbers? Looked in Achieves and saw nothing that lists how many recipes you know. Sous Chef doesn't seem to log that info...so now I'm curious.

Still missing 4 of the old recipies, and many of the new ones, but thanks to sneakthief I have a list printed out and crossing them off as I get them.

Most of my characters have between 30 and 50 I think but that's because my current main, who is hunting for a VR1 Purple, and was previously looking for purples to feed herself, dumps them in the bank to be used by the other characters (and she has sone this ever since she went desperately searching for a L15 back in v1.3).

@oliviander: What do you use to process what recipes you have learned? Going through the list at a cooking fire is painful! I think I'm still missing 50 - 60 recipes.

I use addon called Souschef. It flags known or unknown recipes (character or alt) in the inventory lists (guild stores, loot containers, etc.).

On EU server, recipes are actually too much expensive to spend money in.
For my part SousChef indicates me 270 recipes known

Thanks for the SousChef tip. I've had that add-on for a while. Guess I need a refresher on how to get the most from the data. I'll have to take a look at Minion later. Seems like since 1.6 SousChef doesn't give me as much tool tip info as it used to. I could see every alt that knew a recipe at the bottom of the tool tip, now I'm lucky if I get the big gold check mark indicating that maybe one of the alts needs the recipe.

That's because it reset the sous-chef settings. You'll have to edit the settings to get all the other information. I had wondered what happened to all the data and was clued in via a different thread.

I am still categorizing mine (using SneakThief's list) but I have already come to one conclusion...

... Clarified Syrah Wine is the bane of my existence. I have four characters hammering the provisioning writs every day (3 EP and 1 AD) and that is the one Tier 1 recipe that hasn't dropped yet and continues to not drop.

Even the guild stores don't have the damn thing! I'd probably give my fir... someone else's firstborn for a copy of that recipe.

Thanks much for the tip, though after seeing the result maybe I was better off not knowing. My count was much lower than I thought it would be.

...that said, do you remember which Faction the characters who got it were? My EP characters have been having such a hard time that I turned my one AD character into a provisioner just to, hopefully, have a better chance of finding it!

I know Clarified Syrah Wine on my main, a DC Vet. Don't ask where I got it. I always 'used' any recipe I found over the last year, and I've been everywhere. I never used it before, but I have a couple alts doing writs and this was one that came up. Of course none of my alts have this. I use my main to fulfill their writs. But I have been on a buying spree lately, since I was also missing other low level recipes on my main. Who knows, it may pop up for you. One I needed and could not find for sale anywhere came out of a chest the next day. GL

I sold that one for 9 gold to a merchant recently. I've found it a few times on DC toons I think. I also got it once from a crafting writ on an EP toon. Good luck in finding it.

I now have my main (VR8) scouring stores as well as my 3 EP and 1AD characters doing writs every day in addition to spending a few minutes each day looping through bandit camps with lots of backpacks... still no luck.

....but it will happen, I have to believe that it will one day!

Pretty much any area that was a quest hub where the bad guys actually leave after you finish the quests there. One example is Jackdaw Cove in DC. Apart from a few Lurchers that stay on behind the bad people leave but the containers stay (including about 4 backpacks which have been like little goldmines for recipes).
