Dull dungeon loot...

I leveld from 12->17 in the 3 first dungeons today, and I've only been getting Blue weapons(and some accesories) from the bosses, I've upgraded my weapon 3 times today, but not a single blue armor piece except the one from the quest.

When TESO is released on consoles the players will be used to a far richer loot structure in Destiny, the loot structure i TESO dungeons is just horrible, as far as I can remeber it's weapons/accesories only until lvl 49, with Epics starting to drop from 35.

It's not just armor the normal dungeons need, it's intresting loot in general, like quests, super special items, all the stuff that some of the other popular mmorpgs offer.

I also used the Dungeon Finder for all the dungeon runs(10+) it works, but it's still full og bugs, like invisible players, people see 3 team members in team menu when there really is 4. These bugs really need to be fixed before console release, because these problems can only be resolved by chatting usually and the console players are probably not going to chat that much.

Ran three yesterday and got a green from every boss. Just felt like logging out. Vet dungeons are often greens too. leaves no real motivation towards progressing your character.

At Levels 12 to 17 you should be getting Blue Drops. Purple comes much later, Gold after that.

However, your not doing dungeons in this game for "Epic Loot". Your doing them for the story, if you care enough to not click past it, and the experience.
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

Purples are very, very, very common once you hit VR levels. However, no one ever actually uses the dungeon loot. Most of the endgame gear is crafted, bought with AP, or drops in Trials.

Didn't know those two were mutually exclusive.

Regardless, this problem persists even at VR14: the loot from dungeons & itemization in general is extremely disappointing.

Dungeon Loot for V14: Few usable helmet sets (Skoria, Bloodspawn, Engine Guardian, basically thats it, some people isist that Bogdans ugly face is good for healing but not really)

Some old v12 super-rare sets like Ebon set find their uses nowdays

    Thats it.

    Trial gear:
AA - Light is now meh
    Medium is now meh
    Heavy was always meh
SO - Light is now meh
    Mediums is awesome
    Heavy is meh-ish

    My opinion:

Greens are way too common, whites practically don't exist in this game. I've hit 150 honing stones before just from deconstructing.

Blues are a bit too uncommon.

Purples would probably be considered legendaries in other games.

I've never actually seen a legendary weapon or item drop from anything. I've only ever received the tempers themselves. Sometimes I have to wonder if its even possible for non-crafted legendary items to exist.

I'm going on V11 and I simply disagree. I mean you're guaranteed at least one daily from pledges, but we're talking about loot rates here.

They are not mutually exclusive, I was just describing the game.

As for Loot, there are Bosses that drop uniques that sometimes have some interesting properties. Thing is, what are you really going to do with them? Collect them? Probably not. So, blue and better loot is really decon fodder for the Tempers, Other than some dropped sets that are powerful or popular.

The other problem is if they make the loot in general places too epic then it ceases to be epic as everyone will have it. You can find every quest reward in Guild Kiosks. Even the BoE and BoP stuff from some Bosses is achievable and repeatable by everyone. Of course those who avoid trials don't have access to that gear, or PvP gear for those who don't do that, but those are all choices players make.

Now, by end game, the loot should be much better, and epic more often. And hard to get. And there should be loot that Solo players can get through hard work that is on par with Trials/PvP gear. How and what is a different discussion though.

Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

I don't see how only a few get the legendary items from being the top tier running trials. I know it's a reward for being the best but the sets aren't as useful as they use to be. I would like to see better loot in general even if it's an increase in gold. Killing a vr10 dungeon boss without a group, should yield more than 6 gold and vendor trash, this is a rare case as most of them drop potions and a soul gem. Loot is just like the PVP reward system you get all these green gear of useless.

    Well...

    Have you played Destiny?

The loot RNG is far worse than the ESO one you have to farm a single respawn cave for like an entire day in order to get someting, and is related to the fact that Destiny carachter level goes with the equip (and it is crazy) A friend of mine who dont farm caves after 4 months is still level 27 because the loot sistem is so horrible that you NEVER get what you want.

At level 17 what you pretend a legendary drop? you will never get it only VR 14 instance drop gold stuff.

What I want is basicly some loot. I've done dungeons since lvl 12 and now I'm 18, except for a random piece of green and a quest reward I'm still using the green lvl 12 set I made. It would be a good start if I could get some decent blue armor items from dungeons.

Reason I mentioned Destiny is that many of those who played Destiny are potential customers for ESO. I don't think that's too unrealistic thought. Destiny sold in 5 million copies, many, many millions more than what ESO sold for PC.

If they go ahead with console release without sorting the basic problems in ESO then I think they're heading for another failure. There are reasons for why the game sold badly on PC.
