Personally, couldn't wait for the 17th. Took 5+ months off and returned beginning of March. I've been loving the game again and wondering how all the returning players are feeling.

Cheers -Zafu

Well, I'm on now with a friend right now and it seems like quest phasing hasn't really been fixed so thats a disappontment.

technically, I never left...but in the spirit of the OP...

thank you - I'm (still) enjoying ESO quite a bit - 1.6 finally made the first significant progress in actual gameplay development I've been able to see (since I haven't quite hit vet I haven't gotten to experience craglorn yet) but the first stages of the justice system are intriguing and a welcome addition

I'm not quite as fond of the crown store - it's not a problem yet, but I feel a little bit like I'm watching Kane in Alien - staring at a bunch of things that look like "eggs...or something"...and just waiting for something horrible to come out of it

I'm also seeing some interesting changes on the horizon with news of the xp changes in cyrodill, and I'm hoping that now that we're on the verge of releasing the console version, the shift in development will swing back towards providing new and diverse content

I know, I know...I walking a tightrope of optimism over a yawning chasm of industry precedent...but still, I'm enjoying the game enough right now that I don't feel like worrying too much about the future

It's fun. DW and I haven't played since sometime last year. We left with vr6 characters. Started new on a different side. Game is pretty much the same other than a few tweaks. Will go in the battlegrounds see how that is.

Really mostly seems the same. But now it is free. So wandering aimlessly for hours seems more cost effective. Well and the 6 year old likes riding around the country side on a horse. So he thinks it is a fantastic horse riding simulator.

    LOL

When the game came out I was pretty blown away and after returning, found the same initial feeling again. Perhaps I just needed time off and that's why i started the post. Curious how others feel. The game play; that is, choice of play styles is fantastic. Graphics are genuinely over the top excellent and PvP can be quite epic. Guess my primary issue with the game prior to leaving was the balance issues in PvP and to some extent, they are still a problem but the game overall is so freaking good. Never made it to top level. Returned as a V9 and now V11 so getting there.

I've come back with a PC with a bit more grunt under the bonnet and oh my does it make a difference. Places that on occasion would be a slide-show for me (hello Stormhaven and Davons Watch) are as smooth as silk and lovely to look at now I can have all the bells and whistles on. Same graphics card so the engine is very cpu-dependant. Liking the changes so far, not liking accidentally clicking on something in a crafting area and being done for stealing.

This and TSW are my go-to games. Both B2P and so both have no time pressure, which is great. If the ESO crown shop ended up like the one in TSW down the line you would not find me complaining.
So they raised the floor and lowered the ceiling. Except the ceiling has spikes in it now and the floor is also lava.

    That's it.

ESO Now is literally the same as ESO Launch with some improvements.

If you played in September, there is nothing new to ESO.

As disappointed as before. If not more so, due to the ridiculous lack of housing, thieves guild, dark brohood, and other major missing aspects of elder scrolls.

Except how the entire combat system/mechanics works. And if you like being in cyro, medium armour is the new light armour - unless you're a magicka built sorc or a strictly healing templar - those can still use light. For all other, medium/stamina is the new light/magicka - so there's that at least.

Took a couple of months off after the B2P announcement, back now the change has happened. Seems to have got easier again, probably too much so to be honest.

I was excited at first and then realized the error of my ways. Every argument everyone who warned me about B2P had came true. You can't trust devs with something you can squeeze so much money out of. Eventually Money > everything else.
It's all heading for the gutter now.

As all 5 guilds I was part of died out, I've joined a newly formed guild with new players.. within 2 days that guild got past 200 members, so I guess we're good.. We're all mostly low levels (though quite a few of us have high level alts we haven't deleted since all that research in professions cost us too much sweat, blood, tiers and euro for sub..), so at least for a moment, we could easily find groups (not that they'd be needed up till VR levels, since outside dungeons and public dungeons, everything is soooo easyyyyy).

Classes seem to work better than they used to, thanks to all those WeaponDamage/Stamina morphs for class abilities mostly. What kinda bugs me is reduction of party buffs.. even Molten weapons is now self-target (well, at least it scales well now.. though it's too damn short buff), it's getting hard to actually play as a support dps.. you're either a healer with one buff, or a dps with one buff, that doesn't really count for that much.

I found a funny little bug - on my templar I have a (lvl 4) 1h mace that has DOUBLE the range of other melee weapons, so I can hit enemies standing while standing outside their aggro range.. feels like a bow, really :D

I so far like the retexture of some of the armors, though I'd really like to see better MODELS. Shoulders of almost all styles look ridiculously out of place and not functional. It's supposed to protect shoulder, yet it protects.. well.. collarbone at best. Also the hip plates of most cuirasses STILL clip through legs all the damn time. It's really painful to watch so I'm mostly using those few disguises that don't have such problems, even though they make me look ridiculous.
