How can you learn the blacksmithing writs, if you can't talk to the lady?

The minimum level is 6. If you're too low, just level up and you should be able to earn a blacksmithing certification.

Note, once your level 6, make sure you at least talk to both Certifiers. They fixed the bug that stopped it after one NPC, but it's easy to get certified in all the crafts (they give you the mats during the certifications) so that you can do any writ whenever you want.

And, the Consumable Crafting Writs are well worth doing as you get more mats back than you put in. The Equipment Writs take more mats than you get back, but you have a good chance for upgrade tempers with those.

And of course you get some nice crafting inspiration at the same time. Note, you get more Inspiration at higher levels, and you get higher level writs by increasing your material level (or recipe or solvent or potency levels) However each level of the writs makes you deliver in higher level zones, so don't level your materials until you can get to the zone you will deliver to.
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

    Especially provisioning!

But yeah, listen to what @Nestor says on this. He knows what he's talking about.

Yeah, I decided to do a Woodworking writ yesterday and of the 190 birch I now have 109. I'm feeling a little conflicted as to whether to play through Cadwells Silver collecting materials now or just not do Clothing and Woodworking writs (Healer Templar) until I feel like doing more Cadwells :D. I just want to find all the recipes - "Give them to me!!!" ;)

Tell me about it. I have 3 characters doing L1 Provisioning Writs, one doing L2 and two doing L6. I am still getting recipes that are unknown and one of my L6's knew most of the old recipes. As soon as I get all the L1's I am going to upgrade them all to L2 to chase those recipes.

I'm doing something similar. I've currently got 8 characters doing L1 provisioning writs, and 7 doing L2 writs (plus my main provisioner who does max level writs). Sadly, I haven't had much time to log in since 1.6 dropped, so I've only done all of the writs a couple of times. Soon, though, all of the L1 characters should be moving to L2 while all of the L2s go to L3s.

Yeah I guess I should do something like that with the 3 Region1's that I have but I find that I'm randomly receiving Prov1-5 recipes in Coldharbour so hadn't thought to look further plus all of my characters had Prov2+, once upon a time, to get to L50. Hmmmmm *considers then runs off ;)*
