Question: Ideal Role for Orc in PvE?

I am an old Vet from back in the Beta days and played for a month or two after official release, but, it's obviously been a long while. Many changes have been made to the game, and I am itching to pick it up again, especially since it went F2P.

I am heavily thinking of Role Playing an Orc, not really sure why in all honesty. I just think they are big bruisy badarses who can get into trouble and leave bodies in their wake. I'm just not sure what Class and build to play them. I'm rather fond of Paladins, however, I don't feel I want my Orc as defensive with Heals and such. I just want him to have self-sustain in combat.

So, my question is this: Orc, ideal Class/Build and role in PvE? (Can this build transition to PvP should I choose to dabble?)

Points I'd like to address:
+ Race a bit less relevant than the playstyle (Self Sustain Bruiser/Off-tank if you will)
+ Durability is important
+ Damage is 2nd only to staying Alive
+ Gap Closers are smexy
+ As are ANY forms of CC

- Not interested in being MP dependant
- Not interested in being squishy

I look forward to getting any and all feedback

It sounds to me like a Dragon Knight might be what you are looking for. They can have very good durability with a number of armor and shield buffs. They have Dragon Leap for the gap closer of all gap closer's. Dark Talons is a really good cc ability.

Beyond that going two-handed will give you critical charge, yet another gap closer. Or one-handed/shield if you want to tank, which also can give you shield charge. Being an Orc, in later levels, will let you get the passive to gain damage on all charge abilities.

You can check out esohead to look at the different classes and abilities you can get.
