Do you think the bug fixing in this game is adequate? Would you help if you were able?

I run into so many bugs every day, it gets very frustrating when I need to close my game, or run a repair several times every day of play. I think the QA is terrible, and I wonder if there's anything we can do to make it better? I also wonder how many other players feel frustrated with the bugs.

Please vote and discuss.

No, it's not fine, but I would be willing to help if there was some way of doing it beyond bug reports.

I run repairs to get my freaking health bars working again, closing game doesn't work anymore.

I picked I don't know because I really don't think anyone here has a clue, including myself, about wtf they are saying when it comes to fixing bugs or even programming for that matter.

No, there are software developers playing ESO (like me).

Apparently they have taken several shortcuts to deliver stuff quicker and in doing so QA suffered.

On my software I always run a suite of a lot of unit tests (an industry standard "pass / no pass" kind of testing to perform after each change) and don't push out stuff if they fail. Here, they either don't use unit testing or release stuff "by deadlines". The latter are quite hostile to quality, expecially if your team tends to fail at completing his job by the deadline.

I've never encountered bugs in the quantity you have, nor have I ever had to run repair. I count myself as lucky because I know your experiences are not unique and a lot of people have this type of frustration. When I do encounter a bug, I report it. I don't really know what else I could personally do to help, considering I have so little knowledge in how this type of thing works.

So to answer your question: No, I don't think the amount of bug fixes is adequate, but I don't think I'd be able to help beyond reporting the bugs I do encounter.

As someone who is primarily a PVPer, the answer to the question is a resounding No. The bug fix team along with the new content team have completely forgotten that Cyrodiil even exists.

...but I can assure you, they can't afford me and I don't work for free. As it is, I provide them with a very large number of bug reports and feedback. That's all the freebies they get.

Second time tonight I've had to close my game for some reason, either damage shield on health bar bug, or endless loading screen. I load back in the game and my health bars are bugged. /sigh

    Not adequate.

But a good part (for Zenimax is): players not using addons will never reckognize broken skills.

I can only compare it to other mmo's I've played, which is quite a few.

    Yes it's fine.
I've been playing since launch and have encountered one broken quest that was easily fixed by cancelling it and re-taking it. I've also encountered the launcher bug whereby for a few days after each patch there would be a false manifest error report that could be easily fixed by closing and re-opening the launcher rather than following the "repair" prompt, but that issue seems to have been fixed with this week's launcher update.

Those points aside, I haven't encountered any bugs but I am not at high level and I don't PvP, so maybe it's those areas that people are complaining about where bugs are concerned.

I will happily write /bug reports, and if I have more than the basic stuff to add to it, I will include whatever I have observed. I will not, as a general rule, spend more time investigating a bug than can be done with routine play. There was one exception to this back in the summer, but I have no intention of repeating it. It was fun, but...

It is not my job to fix their problems. I have no intention of making it my job, formal or otherwise. If they want me to fix their problems, they know where to find me, but I doubt they can afford me.

They try to fix them (that's what I think) but it mostly won't work.
