Change hair style added in yet?

  • DEADhorizon
+1 for being able to change your hairstyle.. This is one of the oldest requests which still hasn't been put in for some reason.
  • DEADhorizon
No crowns needed either.. Or at least not for the first change.. Don't be ***.

, because in fact, you realize that your character is ugly at lvl 15,.
ha it takes you until lvl 15 to stop and look at your character? The first thing I do in game is check out my character to make sure they look right.

lol, you make a good point.

But... I still think my Argonian skin is too dark and hides the features I spent ages designing, but I couldn't tell until I'd got out of ColdHarbor and then waited for a good sunny day to see it properly. And by that time... meh, I'll just live with it. :)

Yeah, I'd pay some crowns or gold or whatever to tweak my appearance a bit.

Background wise, changing your appereance to foil the sharp eye of the law might fit in well with a criminal-themed DLC... and thieves guild is supposed to come next... so... I am hopeful!

All too many people suffer from mild vexation due to some small detail of their characters not being what they hoped for. Be if due to a moment of inattention during chargen, or be it through their perception of their character changing during gameplay.
Be it those who replace their mages robe with a jerkin through a fortunate set drop in coldharbour and suddenly realize having too thin legs, or those who made a fresh faces squire and want to update the looks to a grizzled veteran after rubbing Molag Bals face in the ground...

    Not bloody likely, I'm afraid.
Oh, sure, it would have been neat, and had they kept to the subscription model, that's how it likely would have gone.
But that particular ship sailed and sunk a while ago.
Now they have to make money through crown store to pay all their servers and employees, and that means the very best we can hope for is that they -might- allow "everyday changes" like hairstyle or makeup for gold, and keep only the "structural" changes for crown cost. But the crown payments WILL be involved, count on it. They gotta show a profit after all, so the suits don#t pull the plug on ESO... ;)

It would entirely be possible for them to add a appereance change to the character selection screen. Likely wouldn#t even be all that complicated. But... it -would- be so much more immersive to go to a barbershop and get a haircut, or a hairgrowth potion, and leave with a new hairstyle.

And also, now that the game needs to make its profit through crowns, they will definitely also add a crown cost to any changes.

Personally what I would love to see is a gold-paid barbershop for "everyday" changes like hairstyle and makeup, and an "recustomization" option paid for with crowns, which might just as well be a out-of-character button in the selection screen... (though a facechanger wizard in an outlaw hangout would be cooler, admitted)

Namechange would be very easy to add as well... place a clerk in your factions capital city center, have your character slip him a bag of crowns to "update" the official records with your new name and... there you are!

This sounds amazing to me. And yes, I would be totally okay with plastic surgery/name changes being crown based while everyday changes like hair and make-up are in-game gold based. Seems a fair trade off to me.

I created a Nord, got to level 10 with her and really, really hate the make-up I gave her. So I made a new Nord, slightly different, no makeup. Now I struggle to decide who to keep - the older character with more goodies and trophies that can't be put in the bank, or the newer character that looks nicer with the hope I find those trophies later.
