do imperials still get a plus10to luck also need help choosing new charcter

I want to make a dps build don't mind if he's a little squishy but high damage for tanking in short fights would be great. what are some links or such I could look at or some build ideas? also will making it imperial have any negative effect on my choice or could I still use it for the luck bonus

A DPS build that can also tank. OK - that sounds like a stamina melee build. There are many viable ways to approach that, but a minmaxer (like me) would do the following:

- DK's are top-tier for both tanking and DPS, so there's your class. Nightblade or Templar would also work
- If you have the Imperial Race unlocked, it is the best choice for the character you describe due to the stamina and health bonuses. Redguards would be a close second. Orcs, Wood Elves or Nords are also suitable. Really, anything will work, but Breton/ Dunmer/ Altmer would be more difficult to optimize
- Your best DPS weapon will be 2H. Dual-wield also works, but 2H's have been buffed quite a lot in recent patches. They're also very powerful in PvP right now, if you become interested in that
- Your offhand weapon, which you can learn at level 15, would be 1H-Shield, if you want to tank. You may want to learn bow instead. There are a few fights where melee DPS is difficult.
- The key stats for DPS are weapon damage, stamina and weapon crit. You'll want some health, too
- You'll likely wear a mix of medium and heavy armor. Medium is best for stamina DPS, so I'd start wearing 5 pieces of medium with 2 heavy (you will understand why 5/2 mixes are popular later on)

I have never figured what the 'luck' bonus gives you and the game gives no idea but I can't see any reason to think there'd be a negative effect.

Entropy Rising that @snit points you to is an end-game raiding guild so their focus is that aspect of the game which may or may not be what you're looking for, it's certainly a source of very knowledgeable players.

well actualy I want a magic character high dps, whjat I ment by tanking is like very short fights when you kill so fast a mob theres no chance they csan hurt ya. so maybe not tank but really high dps sustained not so much burst cause my first toon will be a melee tank
