Since 1M ESO+ price = 1500 crowns price, will you stay subbed/sub?

Short glance at ESO Account page, you get the crowns you paid for plus EXP boost and DLC access as a bonus. Sounds awesome, but is it awesome enough to keep you subbed/make you resub before the first DLC comes out?

Yup. I can afford the sub and get my money's worth in crowns. That means I can save them up and in the future if finances are iffy for a bit I can cancel and have enough crowns to buy DLCs. In the meantime I get the minor bonuses for subbing.
Ultimately, if planning to use crowns on cosmetic items or DLCs I see no reason not to sub.

We shouldn't pay for next 1 or 2 DLC because they suppose to be released while we were paying montly fee.

I don't want to get into the "haven't we already paid for the next dlc?" thing. But considering that content has been held back so it can be sold as dlc, I don't really want to hand over money to Zos until I see the content delivered. Then and only then will I make up my mind whether or not I want to pay.

Buying and therefore owning a DLC is a much better deal than paying 15 bucks every month and not even owning the DLC. Plus, most DLC´s are most likely Trial based, not something I am interested in at all.

I still don't know the price of the DLC, so I'm not renewing my sub for now.

    This.

We have purchased the "privilege" to closed beta test the game.

At release we have purchased the "privilege" to beta test the game for a year for the console players to come.
... and in all these months, instead of creating content ZoS created a cash shop.

Wrothgar? IC? New trials? ANY form of PvP improvement? Nope.

For some unfathomable reason, unlike ANY other MMO company, ZoS believes basic April 2014 ESO is so good it does not need any new content for 1 year and half. And of course we should pay $15 for the honor of replaying Cadwell Silver again and again till we have 8 level 50 characters.

Come on now, we got plenty of content and new features in less than a year. The things we got were worth more than an expansion. I can't name many MMOs that were releasing so much content, the only one that comes to my mind is FFXIV.

So you could say we won't be getting any new content for half year. Which is still better than WoW, where you get an expansion and then nothing for 2 years. Not that the game is any good, but its still doing well. No reason why ZOS shouldn't think ESO is better than others, because for the most part it actually is.

As I've said a number of times, I don't believe in F2P. The three main reasons for that are that (i) there is less or no accountability from the devs since anyone who pays does so voluntarily, (ii) it relies on some people paying more for the game and others paying nothing, and (iii) F2P games eventually devolve into P2W games, forcing all players to pay more than they would have paid in a subscription-based game in order to advance/stay at the top.

I'll remain subbed (grudgingly so) as long as I don't smell P2W. I'll unsub the minute ESO goes that way.

Got 13000 crowns and 230+ days of ESO PLUS on my account.

Don't need to stay subbed. :)

Just did what a lot of people did, loaded up on cheap 60 day time codes before cut off date, got 13000 crowns, all loyalty rewards including the 300 day ones and ESO Plus bonuses for 230+ days plus any DLC that comes out before then.

Only came back to the game last month with some friends. Only had a few months subbed at launch and that was it.

    Always plan ahead. :)

I'm not sure if they'll make it work out so that buying DLC is more fiscally sound than ESO Plus, but we'll have to wait and see. However, I'm not sure that it's going to be mostly Trials. Everything they've previewed has been zones of content: quests, dungeons, etc.

Agreed, at least in regards to Canadian prices. Yes, the sub cost is now higher, but given how CAD has plummeted against USD over the last three months, it's understandable. As it happens, the rate they're using is actually from January. If current rates were used, we'd actually be charged an extra dollar, so we can't complain.

Already unsubbed. I bought the game for PvP, and all they've done is release nothing new and continue to make it worse. I stopped logging in a week ago.

The switch to B2P and a cash store model is the most disappointed I've been in a game in a long time and refuse to support that decision.

I just went into the game to see what's going on. And let me tell you - it has come to life for the second time. Starting locations packed with new people, zone chat going crazy busy, people being helpful. That's plus points to keeping ESO Plus for me. Might even get many more of my friends into the game, the ones that refused to play "another" sub MMO after we all quit WoW.

Other: Unless they offer something that is worth the 1500 crowns per month in the store (like a plethora of costumes that I like, some "change the dye on your weapon/shield" thing, additional dye colors, a vanity tiger to go with my bosmer ranger, maybe some emotes like "hug", etc.) I don't see the benefit of accruing crowns...

And no, I don't want to see golden tempers there...

I will not sub. I doubt there is 1500 crowns worth of stuff I will want to get every month. Plus, when the DLCs come out, I would prefer to buy them so that they are always available whether I'm subbed or not. I already paid $100 for the physical IE, and another $15 for a sub this past month, that's enough for now. I'll buy crowns as I need them for stuff that I really do want, and I'll buy DLC as it comes available.

Please list the actual content we got.

By "actual content" I mean stuff that has been genuinely added after the game initial release and that:

    - is not content that should have been in at day zero (trials)
    - is not about refurbishing mechanics that have been so flawed to require a rewrite. Or about mechanics that just weren't put in at day zero due to not having made it in time in the rush to put the game in the market.

To me coloring gear or allocating champion points is not "content", nor is shuffling abilities around. These are mechanics, not content.

Want to see how pricing lines up to dlc cost and if they'll actually get back to their monthly release plan after console stuff settles down, so will stay subbed for now, also I already want 1 more month since with imperial upgrade my stipend/loyalty crowns weren't enough to buy a guar mount.

Though I lol at all the people who bought a mount that costs more than the Imperial Edition Upgrade. Plus flame nightmare horse looks cool in single player where it is unique but when you see hordes of them its actually sort of lame.

I picked "Yup, will stay subbed" as it was the closest to the actual answer for me. The actual answer is that I will stay subbed on my main account, and not stay subbed on my second account.

The fact that I get almost as many crowns for my sub $ as I would from purchasing crowns in the biggest crown pack, combined with the fact that I'm a bit of a completionist and will eventually want pretty much everything unlocked anyway makes it a no-brainer for me. I pay very slightly more for the amount of crowns (that I would have paid for anyway), and in return I get the 10% bonuses. Seems reasonable.

Having said that, I don't care about being a completionist and having all of the mounts etc on my second account, so I've already cancelled my sub on that account.

Except that the $15 month gets you the same amount of crowns as if you spent $15 on crowns in the crown shop... So if you're going to want any DLC anyway, you might as well stay subbed for long enough to get enough crowns to cover what you expect the cost of DLC to be.
