ZOS - Please add a toggle for shoulders and those flappy hip things

This costume would be bloody fantastic if it wasn't for those Dynasty style shoulder pads. They stick out so far, they don't even properly follow the outline of the shoulder. Please please please take the shoulders off of it, or at least finally give us the option to hide shoulders and flaps. We've been asking for it for a long time now. Thanks! :)

Actually just allow us to hide shoulders and waist flaps like we can hide helmets. Like OP mentioned.

Shoulder pats and hib plates has always looked stupid in this game. I wish it would be possible to make a mod that removed them.

This isn't just an issue with this costume, the shoulders actually ruin many other nice sets and even more so in mismatched sets. There should just be an option available to hide them, no ESO game ever had separate shoulders and the armor looked a lot better because of this.

They need to let us mix costume pieces and use any armor as a costume piece. Another ridiculous choice made by zeni for this game. Ugh.

Bump. Please can we get some confirmation that this might happen? All of these pieces are additions anyway, they're not connected to the main body of armour, so surely a toggle wouldn't be that difficult?

Just give us an option to hide shoulders like we can head pieces. Well... at least for regular gear, I haven't seen whether Hide Head affects Outfits from the Crown Store. If not, they definitely should adjust that.

Yeah it does thankfully :). And yeah, we just need a similar toggle for shoulders and for hip plates. Maybe front and back flaps too, but as they're part of the body model (ie: not just hanging in space) I imagine that would be harder.

And now I'll picture characters with such shoulder Arnor with fantastic Joan Collins Hair monstrosities.

More to the point - An option to hide shoulder pads and waist flaps would be more than welcomed.

I think it is Breton Shoulders that I put on all my armors as they are the least Dynasty like. I have been making mostly Imperial Light lately, and that seems to be OK in the shoulders too.
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

    @Nestor

Haven't seen how outfits work but do they come in pieces or is it like GW2's outfit where it's all one giant costume?

The Clothing Items you steal, and or launder, are in 7 pieces. So you could skip the shoulder entirely I imagine. I have not kept enough parts to make an outfit yet.

In fact, there is an achievement for having all 7 pieces removed by a guard when you deal with your bounty.

Note there are in game costumes that are all one piece, you get these during quests to help you hide amongst the enemy.

I wonder if they could be hidden if it would reduce lag? I remember in LOTRO sometimes we would hide capes and it helped on runs.

Could it be an answer to the PVP lag nightmare? (an answer, as in one, not "the")
If options weren't necessary, and everyone played the same way, no one would use addons. Fix the UI!

Wouldn't it just be ironic that the hip flappity flippity things are a contributor to lag in PvP?

May be pointless but I sent it on in as feedback in game anyway. I'm not a coder/programmer, I don't know jack about that department but I would think less visuals would mean less stress on the system. Plus 2 birds, one stone as ppl have been begging for this since beta.

um, Arena, Daggerfall, AND Morrowind all had seperate shoulder armor, so yeah, maybe learn about the franchise you are talking about.....

I can live with the American Football style shoulder pads. Some can't it would be nice to have some options.

I hate the tassets, they look like ill fitted *** suspended in midair a couple inches away from my character's hips.

Since every armor style doesn't change after level 26 or so, a hide option would give a little vatiety.

    No.
Else pretty soon ppl would start asking for more and more... shoe toggle, chest piece toggle, bra toggle.
    Headpiece toggle is plenty enough.

Early morning LOL at the bra toggle. Shoe toggle would be great, I think my wood elf would prefer to run around bare foot and feel the grass between her toes.

I came from LOTRO, who (imo) excels at the the clothing/armor/customization department. ZOS could learn alot from them.

The hip flap things are SO HORRIBLE they made me quit the game for a while because of how bad they are. I mean they are really so annoying that I wont use armor styles that to much hip flaps (ancient elf for example).

It would be nice to have the option to be able to hide everything but the chest and pants (because we all know what would happen if this were possible). I personally don't have a huge problem with the hip flappy things, but I do agree that sometimes they can look a little bit ridiculous, and it would be a nice addition from a roleplaying perspective.

I've learned to live with what I can only assume are supposed to be leg guards, but the shoulders ruin just about anything. I know programming is never easy, but if possible for the headslot, I think it wouldn't be crazy to do for the shoulders as well.

Hiding certain parts of the armor would be a good idea in general; I don't know for how long I wished I could..
That means, all outstanding parts such as the tassets which are mostly so oversized that it looks like a skirt, the shoulder pieces and that flap. I also wouldn't mind to hide these smaller parts which protect the ellbows and knees.
