Shiny Dyes

Just wondering if anyone else is annoyed by the fact almost all dyes seem to make gear shiny?
I just dyed some Soul Shriven robes for a laugh with my new character and now the ropes on them glisten in the light. I can understand on metal parts why there would be a shining effect but on clothes it really seems out of place.

Wolfenbelle✭✭✭✭✭I don't care about the shine. What bothers me is two things: (1) Way too often the color you get on a piece of armor looks nothing like the color swatch on the palette. (2) Too many colors look identical in the swatches on the palette.7 -

I agree with you Wolfenbelle. But I also kind of like the shine. Too often the colors just blend in with each other or look very different once applied. We really need an option to make each color glossy/shiny or mat/dull too so all are happier.4 -

This doesn't seem to be the case with many of the darker shades however. The lighter pastel colours tend to have no shimmer to them, however as the colours get stronger/darker they start to pick up the shine effect.
The part that bugs me most is how it makes material on armours like rope, cloth, bone glimmer like it's a gemstone or metal.

✭I'm opposite I guess, I don't mind the shine so much as I mind the faded out look in the middle of my pants legs (light armor) that makes dying them almost pointless. Some clothing just doesn't dye well I guess, but with all my other pieces looking bright and clean and my pants looking like I ripped them off a dead body, its kinda depressingIf options weren't necessary, and everyone played the same way, no one would use addons. Fix the UI!1 -

Ugh, they already made it waaaaay duller and more boring looking than what it used to be like, some times they just have to stop listening to the handful of particular whiners and stop ruining the game! >_<'
