Cursor activation/selection "box" too big!

I wonder if there's an addon, or just a way, to make the cursor target selection/activation area smaller and more precise?

What I mean is, the cursor activates as being "about" a given target even if the cursor is quite a ways off the target, it seems like there's quite a large hidden "box". I'd like to make that "box" smaller so I have to manually keep the cursor much closer to the target to activate or fire off abilities. Is that possible?

Ooh that looks interesting! Will check it out.

So does it actually change the size of the invisible "box"? Do you know what I mean when I'm saying that? It's hard to put into words, but it's like, if you were to move your cursor horizontally towards a creature, what I'm looking for is a way to adjust how close or how far away from the creature the reticle would be "activated". Does that make sense?
