Good pickpocketing location for profit?

1,000,000 million gold is a lot and there is a long way to go.

Have you guys found any good spots to thief and steal? I.e. a place with a lot of NPC's to pickpocket - preferrably medium or hard.

Mages Guild halls usually offer a good selection of hard targets. Other than that, I haven't found any city that's comparably richer in targets. The only thing that seems to hold true is that you have a better chance of getting high quality items in your VR10 zone.

I usually search containers in major cities until I have 140 items that are of green quality or better. That's at least 14k gold earned for the achievement per day then
By pickpocketing from medium and hard targets I find more blue items than by stealing from containers. But it simply takes too long for me to find 140 items every day that are better than green quality.
With 14k gold per day, the achievement takes about 10 weeks to complete.

Purple items: 750 gold
Blue items: 250 gold
Green items: 100 gold
High quality white items (pickpocketing only): up to 174 gold
Regular white items: 30 gold

Edit: I forgot to mention: Safeboxes are a great source for blue items, of course

So far I have been farming Westtry (Stormhaven) for the safe boxes and have sold only high quality white, green and blues. It takes some time but it is the best place I have so far.

I have still never found a purple item just for stealing/sale.

For me I use most of the VR zones (DC and AD for me as I am EP). I like Rivenspire's main city and Daggerfall as they both have a good number of houses and buildings with the lock boxes.

For pickpocketing you want an area with very little lag.. and lots of potential targets.... if you want medium level peeps with little guards goto Arenthia (sp?) the northern most town in Reapers march.
