Not again another sorc thread...

but here it is another sorc thread

I don't think we are really in a bad spot right now (I'm talking pve)....BUT we don't excel in any role.
We are good enough as healer, but we still are the worst.
We are good as tank, but why bring a sorc tank in a trial?
And as a dps, as many have pointed out already, we are good last.

This is really a problem because outside some naive guild and pug and some elite guild where every party member is so skilled that it doesn't matter who plays in what role, we are not welcome. And I think I'm talking about the majority of the playerbase.

I don't think we need really a buff (well maybe a little dps buff), but something that makes us valuable in every role.

Because the majority of players have, by definition, an average skill and so party leaders bring only some class in certain roles.
Because that gives the party the highest odd to complete the task. True or not, is the human nature.

I think it's a little premature to declare the class as second rate. Let's play around with some CP first and see what we can come up with.

You can't have 4 champions in 3 roles. If sorc become best at something - someone else will be useless.

Mmm, CP work the same for everybody: we won't be better with more CP (relatively speaking)

i've gotten a decent nearly unkillable melee sorc but i admit for second bar i dont have much to work with in terms of variety sorc lacks any secondary damage skills severely

Magicka NB DPS is on average worse DPS than Sorcerer DPS. Sorc has more utility than any other class. Sorc's tanking has the potential to be the best in the game, but requires a high level of play. Sorcs really have nothing to make them uniquely competitive healers. So you're partially right with your assertions.

I never suggested we should be better than anyone. Just competitive and on equal footing and I think that the CP might be a way to achieve that if the points are spent in areas that compliment our strengths.

In DPS u are definately not last and all are close to each other. Check ur intell. What u sirs need is a serious pvp nerf and shields that depend on health.

The good guilds i spoke to have some nice sorc numbers.
A bit funny that every sorc that is bad makes it the classes fault.
Btw. why do u have to best the best dps? U work as everything, so why the complain???? I dont get it.
Nightblades dps is also not the best, maybe u should think the other way around and ask why dk is still the best dks.

Maybe is my poor english fault.
But I was talking about perceived sorc strengh.
Being part of an average guild means you as a sorc will be asked only to play as a dps.

And I wasn't talking about pvp as I stated in my first post

And I still think the CP argument is moo (as Joey says).
If everybody has access to the same thing as sorc, this won't make sorc more desirable
