When the updated launched, my brown horse went from 65% speed to 50%. So I've just finished getting it to the max speed again but it's only 60%. My mount also didn't receive the blanket once I got to max speed.

To get the blanket do we need to max everything on the horse? And what happens once we max one stat? Does that mean I can transfer the stats from my brown horse onto my other characters bay dun horse? Or is it only viable from now on, so when I buy a new horse I can choose stats? I am thoroughly confused.

    (1) The new max stats are 60 speed, 60 stamina, 60 carry
    (2) You new riding skill at the time of convert, will be the highest stats from all the horses you own on that toon.
    (3) The max speed of 60, is the same speed as the old 75% horse on live, so your not going to be slower, everyone not at max will be a little faster while on a horse then currently on live
    (4) Buffs that effect speed still work, and some can be triggered while on the horse! (Rapid Maneuver does not dismount you when you cast it!)
    (5) Each horse 'type' (Colour) you own will be added to an account wide collection of horses and you can pick to ride anyone of them on any of your toons, but they are just looks, your riding skill (which is per toon) is what counts

The speed blanket, bags and armor, only two can show at once, so people are only getting 2 of the 3 to show even if they have over 20 points in each stat. But the devs are said they are going to add an option for you to pick which show at a later date

    Thanks Natjur.

You said you can only show two at once, but don't the speed upgrades only show the one brace around the horse? Same for armor and saddlebags come to think of it.

Or do you mean show one speed and one saddlebag for example? So I can just keep putting points in the other stats till I get 20% stamina (totaling 60% speed 20% stamina).

(I believe you just edited in the answer to your OP).

    I have a question:
My Templar's horse was maxed out in Speed before 1.6 released
My sorc's horse did not get her horse's speed stat maxed out? Is it supposed to be like that? I thought everything transfered

Yes. Mount stats transfer to the character that owned that mount, not the account. Your characters now have a Riding Skill which draws from the highest attributes of the mounts the character owned before 1.6. The only thing 'account bound' is the mounts themselves - now they show up in your collections and can be activated on any of your characters like a cosmetic item or pet.

Previously, before 1.6 - every mount would display 2 of three possible visual upgrades depending on how their stats had been leveled.

After level 20 in any skill (speed, stamina or carrying capacity), the mount would display a harness (associated with speed), face armour, (associated with stamina) or saddlebags (associated with carry space). And if you had leveled a mix of skills, then the visual upgrades associated with skills higher than 20, would display on the horse. This could never be more than 2 since the maximum number of upgrades possible was 50.

I had 5 characters which owned horses before update 6.

Crafter - Owned the Draft Horse with a base carrying capacity bonus and was leveled only in carrying capacity. Post 1.6, his riding skill is 0/0/60 and he has 60 additional inventory space. I gave him a sorrel/chest nut/common horse to ride and the only visual upgrade he gets are the saddlebags.

Storage Alt - Owned an imperial horse with 25 levels in carrying capacity. Post 1.6, her riding skill is 0/0/25 and she has 25 additional inventory slots. She uses a paint horse mount (the previous draft horse coat pattern) and only has saddlebag visual upgrade.

Main Character 1 - Owned an imperial horse with all points put in speed. Owned a second imperial horse with all points in carrying capacity. Owned a third black stamina horse with 40 points in stamina. Post 1.6, her Riding Skill is 50/50/50. The extra 10 in stamina come from the bonus from having a black stamina horse before 1.6. She uses a black horse and gets the speed harness and the stamina face armour visual upgrades along with 50 extra bag slots.

Main Character 2 - Similar to above, owned 3 imperial horses each specialized in either speed, stamina or carrying capacity. Post 1.6, she has a riding skill of 50/40/50. Because she did not own any of the 'expensive' specialized mounts, she did not get a bonus in any attribute and has to level them up individually. After 1.6, I purchased a dun horse, the previous 'speed' specialized horse and this is the mount she rides. I do not get any bonuses from owning this mount. It is purely cosmetic. The visual upgrades that display are speed (harness) and stamina (face armour).

The main character of a friend of mine owned two horses prior to 1.6 - a dun horse with every point in speed and a draft horse with every point in carrying capacity. Post 1.6, she has 60/0/60 Riding Skill and her horse displays the harness(speed upgrade) and the saddlebags(carrying capacity).

None of our horses display saddle blankets (the final third visual upgrade that unlocked when your horse reached level 50).

From my experience, I have concluded that horses display upto two visual upgrades based on your riding skills higher than level 20. Speed and stamina take preference over the saddlebags. So if you have more than 20 points in stamina, you will get face armour regardless of having higher carrying capacity. I love this because I don't want ugly bags on my main characters' horses. I don't know if the horse visuals can change. So if my friend were to level stamina post 1.6, whether her horse would change from displaying bags and harness as of now to face armour and harness later is unclear.
