Should people who missed the deadline be given some option of a console transfer?

Most who wanted to play on console were not paying that much attention when the window opened on 5/9/14 where we had to activate by 6/30/14 in order to be eligible to transfer. Such a small window deserves a side option to transfer even if we don't get the free copy of the game.

The option should remain open indefinite. Not everyone has the console on release, don't force the consumer to buy when they can't afford it right away.

Another point I'd like to make is I have spent months collecting and researching traits and building my toons so a start over for me on the console just isn't acceptable. I'd rather just walk away then start from scratch. At least this way they can still make some money.

The limited time offer was fine when it was made available, considering the console delay was supposed to be only a few months, ZOS did it to try to prevent a loss of revenue as people held off buying till the console version was available.

However, seeing as how the console version will come out nearly a year after it was supposed to then it's only fair to make it available to the many who didn't take it up.

I would say anyone with a subscription as of March 17th should have the option.

If change this too that'll make concessions made for Senche Mount, Loyalty Rewards AND Console Transfer....

Now, if they decide to simply sell a server TRANSFER (not COPY) in the crown store for like $20-$30 bucks, I'd be OK with that (but players need to but ESO seperately).

THIS initial offering of a digital copy of the game and an account copy for $20 should remain as is. That offer should remain closed.

I could accept having to pay for a full copy on the xbox then pay to transfer but on the other hand I bought this a week before they dropped the price for the holidays so I got caught twice by bad timing. Either way this is the first real chance to put a mmo on a console so you'd think they would do what ever they could to support it. Say your toons were saved on your local HDD and you had a major crash making the saves unrecoverable. Would anyone choose to restart their entire experience?

Probably not a good idea. People would be selling their copies to friends or random strangers.

Heck, I personally wanna use the copy so I can twink my brother since he plans to play PS4 and I don't think I'll play on there much but I'll do it anyways now that there is no sub.

REally the only one listed that is a real mmo is FF XIV AR the rest are meh and i am not even sure neverwinter is on a console. and is EQOA still around at all?

So if a person misses a deadline because they are unaware of said deadline do to them doing other things in their life other then staring at their inbox they should be screwed forever even though they qualify for the deal? The game came out nearly unplayable with constant broken quests, glitches, and freezes for the first month. The people who bought it were paying to beta test it. I think its fair to say we deserve a deal not restricted to a tiny window of time. Besides having to pay full price for a game you already own in order to play it on an inferior system is ludicrous.

they might not have any choice in the matter.

not that easy. There are a MYRIAD of reasons as to why they are not doing it any more

1. code - they are transferring a MASSIVE amount of code from one system to TWO, COMPLETELY Different systems, the coding is VERY different in between these system. Heck, once the servers are live for consoles, it might not be POSSIBLE to do it again
2. they might want to try and curb the amount of maxed out characters to a "new" game
3. it could EASILY be that MS and Sony just do not want it, and/or are only allowing a month.

People need to stop and think of exactly what they are doing.

ALSO, ESO is the FIRST game to do allow anything like this at all.

I think the current offer has passed so whatever new/different offer agreed upon can be looked at but consider the Poeple who originally didn't qualify will want considerations too so...NO as stated in the poll

Maybe to another diff offer but $20 maybe per character or something which allows others to participate too

My Bad thought the Poll was about missing the 1 month window between April 9 and May 9 in order to transfer... probably should have read it first... but regarding that i stand by my post.

Can We PLEASE get a response from ZOS for this finally - At least let people Pay full price for the game and give them the transfer if they pay the $20 - You are not really "giving" them anything, as they are still paying full price for the game, again, and the transfer. Why not given them the option, people who are going over to consoles wont be playing the PC version anymore, so why NOT give them that option!?!?

Generally this is the attitude of the people who didn't miss it, I imagine your tune would be different if RL intervened and you also missed out. Also, I fixed up your typo.

As a retired electrical contractor, I have offered many options during various phases of construction. Once my crew moved on... the opportunities moved with them. Point being, there is always an event horizon. Alas, that threshold of no return has passed.

I'm actually in question of the ability to transfer anything at all. I cannot envision how this does not play out to an obvious powerhouse advantage with no hope of ever catching up, from ambitious console players that are looking forward to a new game on their given platform.

PC veterans will not only own general gameplay but will undoubtedly control the markets indefinitely, with no challenger from the most distant flank.

I have no idea why People feel that those who 'missed the boat' shouldnt be allowed to do this. How is it affecting you if people who missed the opportunity get another chance? Oh thats right its not.

This was my plan all along and had I been given a reasonable heads up about its timetable Id have participated. Unfortunately I never received any email or promotion regarding this. Its not like I wasnt looking for it. Everytime I saw an email from ZoS/ESO I made sure to check it right away. But all I got was the stupid 'one time/limited time offer of this pet/mount' emails. And considering how much noise they made about this prior to implementing it. Its a shame how little they spoke up about it when it was actually going on.

I see absolutely no reason why this shouldnt be a semi-permanent thing at least until they feel the Console version is up and stable. I spent the 70+ bucks on the Digital Imperial Edition when it came out on PC, was planning on getting a hard copy for Console regardless of the 20 buck transfer fee. They were going to make a solid amount of money off of me regardless.

I have no problem spending money on a product that I enjoy and wish to prosper. But to almost quietly initiate the transfer period and not give their playerbase and those waiting for it a solid heads up. Its almost as if theyd rather these players, myself included, to pay full price rather then the 20 dollar fee. Which comes off greedy and shady.

Honestly ZoS. Open it back up.

Yes it does. If you don't think that adding loads and loads of VR rank characters to a new platform launch will affect gameplay, PvP, economy, etc, then you're highly mistaken.

Honestly though, if the transfers opened up again with a max character level of 30 or something, I'd be fine with that.

How about just an account transfer - so NO CHARACTERS? That way, you dont lose out the Pet shop exclusives you purchased, ect. ZOS please respond!!
