honestly what i want to see most is our home faction turned into a vr 10-14 after we complete the other factions, with the option to restart the faction once a month. i want to explore more, but everything is to easy now, its not very enjoyable when i can mow straight through lower level enemies. spending all my endgame time in ebonheart faction kinda subtracts from the faction loyality to the covenant.

In other words, all zones need to scale to player level or conversely, our characters scale down to the zone level.

i think your second idea will work better, ive played a few mmo that have that system, like rift and gw2, and it works pretty well for them. i mean the lower level monsters are still rather easy, but difficult enough to derive some enjoyment from it.

also having to option to reset your quests in one faction is very needed

Personally I would like it if all players who finish Cadwells gold get their home regions at V12 or so, to make being there worthwhile.

I wouldn't want a restart of the story quests, been there, done that... but random daily quests in PvE regions too would be nifty! Anyone remember the old "TES-Daggerfall" guild quests? Random setup... could be done here too: Go to "random dwelve", interacti with "random object", then "kill/talk/take" spawning "mob/NPC/object" and return to guild to get your reward...

There would be many other possibilities for random quests too.

Messenger quests - go to three areas on different maps, find NPC in target area, deliver letter, don't let bandits or wildlife stop you.

Prospector quests - go to landmarks, dodge/kill beasties, draw map

Hunter quests - bring home (ammount) of bacon meat from beasts slain

Fisherman quests - same for fish

Merchant quest - Deliver a wagonful of goods to someone who'd buy them...

Bard quest - play music emote in five taverns spread over several maps.

Bounty quest - same as fighters guild bounties in cyrodil, just elsewhere. Kill 10 of "mob type", depending on map.

Mages guild quest - bring extra-special spell ingredient from "random place" (may involve killing something to cut off ingredient from, may just involve going somewhere, random selection)

Thieved guild & Dark Brotherhood... once they pop up, they should also be good for a daily quest. Steal "special loot" from "random place" or kill "special NPC" in "random place"...

Et cetera, many more things that could be done on a daily basis for those who already finished the other questing, to tide over until the first new DLC comes...

Honestly I'd rather redo all the Covenant quests two more times than help out the other factions. Just take away the skill point rewards since we already got them the first playthrough. The other factions could be opened up so you could get all the skyshards and skill points and enjoy their content, but it shouldn't be forced upon the player. I know it's a game, but I do feel like I became a traitor once I hit VR1. When I did the AD quests, I just skipped through all the dialog so I could get my xp and skill points. EP is even worse since almost every major quest seems to involve killing Covenant soldiers. :/
What do you call a Wood Elf who doesn't lie or cheat or steal?
    A dead Wood Elf.

Agreed. I've brought up the PVE content scaling before, but there were plenty of dissenters who depend on out-leveling content so they can breeze though it.

I've never made it past VR1 because I can't bring myself do quests for a faction that we are literally at war with. I think I'll be getting a bit more serious about PVP this time around, but I'm hoping that abstaining from Cadwell's Silver and Gold won't lock me out of future content.

I'm also not too bothered about the story content being reset, but I agree that there should be a "Veteran" version of your home alliance for Veteran players to do repeatables in.

    Nice list :)

Some of those I've suggested before as well; will see if I can find them:

Fighters Guild dailies for destroying Mini-Anchors:
Something akin to the existing Dark Fissures, but in the style of Oblivion's Oblivion gates. You are tasked to go to a Dark Fissure location where instead of a Fissure, a Mini-Anchor has spawned (anyone who is not on the quest would just see a Fissure, as normal), and you need to defeat the enemies there. Once defeated, activate the pinion to be pulled into a delve-sized Coldharbour area. Fight through and defeat the boss to reach the Mooring Pinion. In addition to the immediate quest reward, you can stock up on Mooring Pinions to exchange for rewards. The assets for Mini-Anchors already exist; I think they are (or were? not sure if they're still around) part of a Dremora's spell arsenal. BdV4n7l.jpg

Mages Guild dailies for collecting Lost Lore:
As you say, a quest to go recover a random lorebook (but not a purple one) from a delve. The book would be in a chest located behind the delve boss. In addition to the immediate quest reward, you also get some token that you can stock up on to exchange for rewards later on.

What we also need are some solo dailies (that are interesting enough and rewarding enough to be worth repeating). All PvE-zone dailies at the moment (apart from Crafting) are for groups.
    • Fighters Guild Dailies: You're sent out to shut down a mini dark anchor. These could occur in the same random places as the existing dark fissures, but you need to go into Coldharbour to find the pinions (a la Oblivion's Oblivion Gates). If you're not on the quest, you get the standard dark fissure which disappears after defeating the boss. If you are, you get to enter the mini anchor after defeating the boss and experience a delve-sized dungeon on your way to the pinions. In addition to the standard reputation/experience/gold reward, you get to keep the Anchor Pinion, which can be exchanged for gear. The more you collect before you exchange them, the better gear you receive.
    • Mages Guild Dailies: You're sent to a delve in the region to recover lorebooks to be brought back and translated (a la Skyrim's Shalidor's Insights). If you're not on the quest, the delve acts like normal and the chest containing the book cannot be found. The chest would either be in the main boss room, or in a side room with a mini-boss. In addition to the standard reputation/experience/gold reward, you get a Gem Fragment, which can be exchanged for items. The more you collect before you exchange them, the better items you receive.
    • City Guard Dailies: (Not very interesting, but would give you a bit more gold and XP if you want to go grinding.)
      • [x] creature is harassing [y] location. Go and kill [n] of them.
      • [x] criminal has escaped and is hiding at [y]. Go and apprehend them.
      • [x] item has been stolen, and has been taken to [y]. Go and retrieve it.
      • [x] citizen has been kidnapped and taken to [y]. Go and rescue them.
The Justice System, Thieves Guild, and Dark Brotherhood would add some more opportunities for dailies.
As an extension to the above, those City Guard Dailies could also be used as Community Service quests for criminals to pay off their bounty. The XP reward is restricted at 10%, and the gold reward goes directly to paying off your bounty instead of into your pocket.

I imagine if they did that, the "post gold home alliance" would be yet another instance, and not very populated.

Could be a bummer, rolling around in an empty zone.

not really, at least you know the people you meet there are at least qualified, skill wise. plus if its a empty zone, then....well you wont have such problems as loot ninja's stealing all the loot

It would have to be another instance from the 1-43 version, sure, but the dailies available there may also convince some Veterans to actually go there rather than hanging around in Craglorn or the 1-43 versions of the same zones.
