Hi ESO community!
I recently purchased the Imperial Edition of the game and started to play with friends and my brother. Two people brought to my attention that SweetFX works for this game and can help enhance its graphics. They both got it to work by copy and pasting the SweetFX files to the eso.exe directory but for me it just simply crashes the game with a message about an API command not being a valid D3D11 command. The only difference I can think of is that they are both running Windows 7 whereas I am running Windows 8. One has a Radeon GPU and one has a GeForce GPU similar to mine.
Am I missing something? I know the SweetFX stuff worked seamlessly in Skyrim.
When I searched the forums I found a link to this:
http://tamrielfoundry.com/topic/eso-launcher-graphics-enhancer/ which is said to be Windows 8.1 compatible so I might give it a shot. My only concern is whether it would negate my ability to use Steam In-Home Streaming with ESO since I have to have Steam directly launch eso.exe to play the game using In-Home Streaming as the game crashes if I use the launcher to start the game in a streaming session (strange, right?). I of course naturally know it wouldn't effect my ability to play the game when I'm in front of the PC however.
So if this (
