ESO 2GB Size Limit Too Small for 1.6?

I see that some are having audio problems where lowering the texture quality fixes the issue. That seems like a memory issue where audio files can't fit into the allocated space.

I know back in the days of the memory leak that problems would start as the eso process approached 2 GB and it would crash when it tried to exceed that.

In version 5, the average size in memory (for me) was 1.5 to 1.7 GB.

On PTS with 1.6 I monitored memory performance to watch for memory leaks. I noticed that the average size (during peak activity) was now 2 GB and this continues now to Live.

If there is a memory leak, you would never be able to see it, you would just immediately start experiencing problems as soon as you go into combat or other intense action.

The performance issues many are experiencing now on Live with 1.6 could be related to the fact that the memory space is so tightly packed now that there may be more active resource loading and unloading going on.

For those of us with enough memory, it would probably be in ZOS's best interest to either add a memory size check and increase the available space to 3 or 4 GB, or at the very least, add the size setting to the usersettings.txt file so we can manually increase the size.

Late last night I started lagging badly, 6 to 8 seconds where I could move around but could not fight. So I tried to log out. My character disappeared, but I could still move around. I could not log out, it was hung up and I had to kill the process to close it. The peak working stack was the highest I have seen at 2,317,564K, commit size 2,114,244K, Working Set 2,030,644, Page Faults 121,560,000 and still growing.
