OK... I am NOT IN ANY WAY a puter guy... However, I can say... You are able to d/l your game on both devices. In my instance, I have the game upon my 32bit tower, and my 64bit laptop.

All you have to do is d/l / update the game upon each device within the same user account.

Hope that makes sense. LOL :)

EDIT: I just wanted to make sure I was more clear... Upon each device, visit the ESO store, and d/l the game. Of course it will take a while... but you most certainly will be able to play the game, same account upon both (if not more) devices.

I believe he is hoping not to download the client again onto the new PC. If this is the case what you need to do is start the install process on the new computer, let it run for a bit. pause or halt the downloading and installation. Then copy over your game client information from the other PC. Then re-run the client and repair. Should work.

    HTH.
    IANAL
    YMMV

On the top of my head...

    DL Install Steam

In steam, Choose to install ESO. (remember your install location choice)

    Once downloading, cancel it.

Copy paste folders "Launcher" and "The Elder Scrolls Online" from your other PC (C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\Common\Zenimax Online if you used default)

Paste on the laptop (the location I asked you to remember earlier)

Run the ESO launcher, and run a Repair.

not 100% sure but this is what I can remember from the top of my head

    Hope this helps

I just network the computers and transfer the files across. Is this what you mean? You can do this to your external hard-drive in the same way to protect your files and avoid re-downloading.

Yes you can play one account on multiple devices, you may just have to verify when you log in via a different one. So have access to your email and your will be sweet. We also have multiple accounts in one household and swap out account on each device with no issues.

I am not computer savvy be warned, but this is what we do.

Although the author has said he is fine and dandy now... I am wondering... If you own 2, 3, 8 different computers, and you want ESO game upon all of them within same account (properly)... Why would you NOT want to download the game upon each computer?

Within my understanding, this is what the author was wanting, however information was supplied to redirect him from just downloading the game, fully, correctly, upon the 2 computers. What's wrong, or could have been wrong from downloading the game upon another computer? I've done it. Took no longer than 1hr for each computer.

... I still do not understand... Oh well though, as long as the OP is happy...

Not everyone has lovely speedy broadband.

For me it is quicker to copy the ESO folder from one pc and drop it onto the new pc, start the launcher and run repair. Takes about 30min rather than the 5+hours of re downloading 30GB+ on my broadband.

Alot of people are also limited in their bandwith usage per month. Your download only going at 6/mb a sec is a first world problem.

Tl;dr really weigh the fun you have in game vs the business practices you are supporting.

Download and install the launcher. When you start the launcher, it will update itself, which is quick. Close the launcher. Do not install anything else.

Copy c:\Program Files(x86)\Zenimax Online\The Elder Scrolls Online from the old PC to the new one. If you are on the EU server, the directory will have EU at the end. You will need a network or large capacity USB drive (64 GB) to do this.

Copy the Elder Scrolls Online directory from your Documents directory to the new PC.

Start the launcher. It should detect that ESO is now installed. Do a Repair. This should not download anything and should complete without error. Problems here will be due to missing files, typo in directory names, or the files are in the wrong directory.

        Run game as normal.

I just did this yesterday for a new system and this is what I did to avoid downloading it all again. Sorry for the brief instructions, I am typing this on a tablet while on lunch break.
