Where do you steal purple items?

I'm getting a lot of blue items from chests, but where do you get purple items from?

Same place as the blues, the RNG gods have just been frowning on you. Thats it really, they are just much rarer drops.

I have found only one purple item and I usually have decent luck in finding them. It was a new V10 recipe and I immediately learned it.

I found a purple the other day, but ity about as rare as purple recipes or style books I guess. Remember how often you found one of those? That's how often you get to steal something purple... keep on burglaring those houses, sooner or later its gotta happen...
