Fileting Fish

So, I've just started reorganizing my storage inventories and thought I'd convert my various kinds of fish into the new uniform provisioning material "fish", thus saving space.

Imagine my surprise when I discovered the action "Use to filet for provisioning" only converts one fish at a time. To make matters worse, there's a global cooldown between each conversion. I expected it to be the entire stack, as there is really no use to the unconverted fish, so I can't imagine anyone would want to convert less than the entire stack.

Has this been overlooked, or is it actually working as intended?

Will I have to individually filet approximately 1'200 fish, each action taking a second? This is really not how I wanted to spend my first half hour playing 1.6...

I imagine there are people with a lot more fish stored up than me and for them it could take hours.

I really hope this is an oversight.

I was busy gutting fish in Daggerfall outlaw haven last night while waiting for my bounty to drop. Do hope someone clever creates an addon called multi-fish - or something like that.

Though going forward we are probably not going to have big stacks of fish stored up ready for gutting so it might not be much of an issue once we get the backlog done.

Really need to log in my orc tonight. Half of her inventory is fish ....

I expected the cooldown and only being able to gut one at a time.
What I didn't expect was the sound effect:



I felt so epic, gutting 500 fish and each one of them triggering the same sound as accepting a new quest.

HAHA yer what is up with the noise it make when you gut a fish? When i first did it i thought i'd unlocked some hidden fishing quest or something.

I thought at first it meant I had done something special with the fish - like got an extra bit for free or something - or found treasure in its belly. Just one regular piece of fish though.
