Please tell me I'm not downloading each incremental patch from 1.5 to 1.6 since it's been in PTS

Downloads 8 gigs, then 5 gigs, then 4 gigs, then more gigs?

Well, there goes another day of patching without ability to play the actual game.

Can I have a discount on my subscription?

The major patches are often large and can take considerable time for those with slower internet access, unfortunately.

The reason for the various patches is they use a torrent system, my guess is to save money on infrastructure. This method seems to be inefficient on the download side since some of the connections are extremely slow.

That's not normal. Are you sure you've had the latest version of 1.5 as well?

There should be only three patch downloads happening: First around 14 GB for the generic game data (models, textures, maps, etc.), then around 100 MB for the actual game client files, and then another 6-7 GB for the language/voiceover files.

Once those are through, you should be fine. Maybe you confused the patcher applying the patches with another download?

It's like the others have said. You're not being asked to download all the incremental patches, even those with the latest version of the game had to download between 20GB and 25GB depending on their language selection. It was virtually the whole game, but the good news was that it left me with 3GB more free space on my hard drive than I had before!

    Wow, that's very inefficient.
I wonder if they'll ever do like WoW and CO, and implement a jit patcher.

Ya know,..I have a terra hard drive, used close to half in the last 4 years, and I am wondering,as the amount of patches get higher and higher(20 gigs this time),if I'll have room for too many more patches.
