Is anyone else having an issue with the new Resto Staff animation for heavy attacks?

Basically what is happening to me is when I have an enemy targeted and do a heavy attack, 90% of the time it plays the animation for if you were just standing there not targeting anything and twirling your staff around at nothing. No beam. Just the light from the staff. The only way I know I am hitting the person is sometimes they die. Seems to happen a lot with mobs or if I am moving around a lot dodging attacks. Only rarely does my character visually engage the enemy. And when it does, I feel like the beam coming out of the resto staff looks all wonky and not the right angle or something.

I don't know. Can anyone else confirm they are having troubles with this particular animation?

    I have noticed its harder to like... "lock on" so to speak with heavy attacks and its hard to tell if you're actually missing. I have the reticle on someone not moving and I still don't start actually generating the heavy attack. You have to like, stop attacking, then try another heavy attack to fix it. Its weird.

    I've been using resto staff since day 1. Never had an issue with it myself.

    Resto staff heavy attack with siphoning strikes doesnt even seem to do anything...

    It used to regen tons but now hardly noticable.

    Yeah, same thing here, about 1 out of every 4 attacks has the correct animation... its massively annoying to look at.
    But I can tell its gonna be sweet when its fixed!

    Oh I don't seem to have a problem with magica regen with the heavy attacks. It's just the animation not playing. Or targeting is messed up or something for it.

    Agreed! I love the new styles of holding the staff. Just too bad it's bugged :/

    The same here. It looks like it is sputtering. Seems like they didn't properly align the unicorn hair inside the staves !

    @ZOS_GinaBruno please fix our unicorn hair!

    Had this happened once/twice on PTS, but today on live it was all day long. (I have never had major problems like this with the targeting on the staff in the past or even with the old random "twirly" that it used to sometimes do pre-1.5). It just seems to vear off to the side with no visual at all that it was connecting with the target. Had to constantly break skill and restart to lock on target, which significantly affected my regen as well.

    This has been happening a lot to me today too. Not on every attack, but at least three out of five.

    I am still having problems with this bug even after latest patch. There is no word I can find anyplace about it even being acknowledged.

    The Restrostaff heavy attack channel continues to disconnect at random times, causing the need to break rotation repeatedly to begin retartgetting. This very much needs addressed as when it comes to resource management, maintaining smooth heavy channel attack in rotation to support magicka is vital while healing.

    I have also noticed that there are similar problems with Destrostaff heavy attacks for Fire staff and Frost Staff, though interestingly the channel heavy attack for Lightning staff has remained as in 1.5 and seems totally unaffected.

    I wish I had the ability to record a youtube to show the differences here, but it seems now that the initial attack starts off way the heck off to the side of the player due to the change in the animation, it has adversely affected the channel sequence. On Fire and Frost Destro it is initially less noticeable since the attacks from these staves have always been a charge up and not a line channel as Lightning or Restro heavy. That being said, Fire and Frost both always targeted facing forward to the mob and the charge-up continued unless you took your finger off the mouse. Now it will veer off to the side and despite holding the mouse for full charge up, it just disconnects at random and you have to start over.

    Occasionally it is just the animation that dissappears and not the dmg to the target, which makes the problem even more of a major annoyance in rotation. I can tell by my combat readouts in FTC that the issue is eating into overall dps when it surfaces.

    Please address this problem.

    Lightning staff is also not showing an animation either so you cannot see who you are hitting or if you are

    I've been experiencing this since that last epic patch. As long as I'm getting Magicka back, I know it's working, but it can be a pain trying to figure out if you're actually attacking or otherwise.
