As a casual player I was satisfied that at one point I had a char max level and near max crafting with almost all motifs and I pretty much lost interest. Then ESO discovered DLC's and now my main is just a wanabe and I am happily pulled back into the game.1 -

Don't know. I don't have the Imperial Edition to test it out. All I know is that mounts that you already have, or purchase in the crown store, will be available to all characters on your account.1 -

Your missing my point, new players with imperial edition before did not have to save up a crap ton of gold and could get a horse at the start of the game for 1 gold?
Is that not the case anymore? Do imperials have to saved up 14k+ gold for a horse now?
Or is it completely skill based you use a skillpoint in?

✭✭✭✭✭I can't check the Live server because EU hasn't got the patch yet, but if it works the same as it currently does on the PTS (and I don't see why it wouldn't) players with the Imperial Edition do still have access to the 1g Imperial horse.
I don't know if you need to buy the first one from the stable for 1g or if it's just unlocked automatically, but after that it's in the collections menu for every single character.
Even a character who has never left Coldharbour has the horse unlocked and can set it as their active mount (although it looks like you can't ride a horse in Coldharbour).PC EU player | She/her/hers | PAWS (Positively Against Wrip-off Stuff) - Say No to Crown Crates!

Zafu✭✭The character I made today is unable to purchase the imperial mount, or any mount for the few silver/gold we could before.
My other characters all have mounts. This new one does not. When I HIT H, it says "no mount". When I talk to stablemaster, there is no mount; only expensive ones to buy.

Hookgrin✭✭✭The Imperial Horse is still available to you if you purchased the Imperial Edition.
It is just located in a new place.
You now have a collections area where pets, mounts, costumes etc. are stored so they do not take up inventory space.
Press U. For the horse click on the Mounts tab. Right click on the Imperial horse and select Set Active, this will place a check mark on it to show it is the active mount.
Close the window (Alt).
Press H and enjoy.2 -

Then that completely screws imperial edition owners over since now they will have to pay full price in gold for a mount when creating new characters?

So the answer is instead of paying 1 gold for a horse imperial edition owners now have free mounts at no gold cost at all.

I don't think you understand what others have already said. Imperial Owners get the mount and don't spend the 1 gold. They get the mount. They are not screwed out of the mount.
Test it. Make a new character, check your collections, grab your mount.1
