XP script command clarification?

I read a few posts on here which suggested using the script command
/Script d(GetUnitXP("player"))
in the chat box to show how much XP that you've acquired since VR14. The posts said that this figure should be 14 million in order to get the full 70 CP however I'm not sure whether this is correct as when I first used the command it said I only earned around 13050000 despite knowing full well I've gained a lot more than 50k XP since hitting VR14.

I tried this command on a lower level (not vet) character and it only showed the XP gained per level, I'm wondering whether is this command just showing the amount of XP gained per rank rather than your entire veteran XP?

It worked for me on my main VR14 toon. It shows that I have 20,130,966 XP on that character.

When did you become VR1? This discrepancy may arise out of the previous VP -> XP conversion, if you first became Veteran during the old setup. You XP won't have changed, but under VP you may have earned more VR progression than just your XP would have given you.
(This may address the OP's question as well.)

    By last August.

So I take it this CP thing goes on XP only then?

Yes I should of earnt more than 1 million since becoming VR14 yet despite all the pledges, cyrodiil quests and general skill grinding it only showed 50k over 13 million. I've now done a grind to get this figure to 13.8m just in case this is what ZoS are using to calculate CP but would like to see some clarification on this.

The CP conversion is based on fractions of Veteran Ranks. Say for example, someone reached VR3 and got half way to VR4 before VPs were removed (in Update 5), and hasn't played that toon since. Their XP value according to the script would not necessarily be 2,500,000, since VPs and XPs were not directly comparable, and earned XP was not taken into account when the change occurred. This means their recorded XP could be somewhere around 1,875,000. However, the conversion should assume they have 2,500,000 XP because of their VR progress, and they should get 12 CPs (not 9 like their XP value would suggest).

So that means I will at least get the 65 that you would have for VR14 and then credit for any progress I made after that?

Yes, if you are at least VR14 you will get 65, plus an additional CP for every 200k XP over that up to a maximum of 70.

Good. That makes me happy. I pretty much just made sure I was VR14 and decided I would be good with 65 points and just wanted to start mainly PvPing. It's been a couple weeks of that and some grinding still every now and then, so I will be curious to see how far it got me. I'm guessing probably not much.
