• NA megaservers for patch maintenance – December 17, 4:00AM EST (9:00 UTC) - 12:00PM EST (17:00 UTC)
• EU megaservers for patch maintenance – December 17, 9:00 UTC (4:00AM EST) - 17:00 UTC (12:00PM EST)
The issues on the North American megaservers have been resolved at this time. If you continue to experience difficulties at login, please restart your client. Thank you for your patience!

For the EU do you mean 3am Tuesday or Wednesday? EU normally goes down after the NA server :)

    Otherwise the statement contradicts itself and one part has to be wrong.
    Given the rule of "NA first" you already stated, I guess Wednesday is what we should expect.

    Bugs are every developers reality. They MUST happen. EVERY proggram has bugs. Luckily more than half of it doesent affect the execution. The day a proggramer dishes out a bugless entity of a larger size is the day ill hang myself.

    Things like the possibility of bank slots dissapearing or something wild like that. Something similar happened after a big update in LOTRO and everyone who logged in before they hotfixed it got stuffed. Those of us who were away on holiday that week however were spared all this :)

    Yes. The maintenance that starts tomorrow is for Update 6, so NA will have it tomorrow afternoon and EU on Wednesday.

    This is the update happening. They won't do two updates a week. If they'd apply Update 6 on Thursday or so, they'd ommit the Tuesday maintenance.

    Edit: "maintenance" is maintenance. "Patch" or "Update" is a patch or update. Sticking with that convention would be clearer.

    IMHO it should read, "Update 6 will be deployed this week on the North American server beginning Tuesday at 8:00AM EST (1:00PM GMT), and on the European megaserver beginningTuesday at 10:00PM EST (3:00AM GMT Wednesday)."

    Bugs are every developers reality. They MUST happen. EVERY proggram has bugs. Luckily more than half of it doesent affect the execution. The day a proggramer dishes out a bugless entity of a larger size is the day ill hang myself.

    I'm 100% positive there are programs that only have only one or two functions which executed with 0 bugs but that doesn't mean you should do anything rash.

    maintenance: the process of preserving a condition or situation or the state of being preserved:
    Update: make (something) more modern or up to date
    Seemed a fair question to me and smart comments were not really necessary but I guess some people get off on them so...have fun getting yourselves off :)

    No, really... it didn't. You simply assumed the correct answer based on an educated guess. Other's without as much background info or knowledge on the subject could easily misinterpret it and they have. If taken at face value, it stated that maintenance was occurring on said date and the update would be out this week. I feel that my point on the need to improve the clarity is reinforced by the numerous other queries of the same nature on other threads as well.

    However this is a moot point now as anyone attempting to log in will immediately know the correct answer. In the future, unless @ZOS_GinaBruno you really enjoy having to have to answer 100 follow questions on the subject, I suggest keeping the definition of "maintenance" and "update" separated for consistency.
