2 quick questions on 1.6 timing

Long story short, I can't play for awhile, and haven't played for the last 3 weeks. It will be months before I can again. I have two questions:

1) The 'free respec' in 1.6. Will this be free for my character even if I log on in 3 months (or more), or is this free respec until a certain, specific date?

2) The description of cp bonuses for being a vr character...is confusing to me. Do I have to use these points up in a timeframe or they become forfeit? Or alternately, if I sign on in 3 (or more) months, will the cp I've earned on my vr character still be banked and waiting for me to use.

1. The respec is automatic, so I have to believe it would apply the next time you log in to that character, regardless of when that is.
2. Your CP can stay banked once earned, but there's no real benefit to that. Tiers of CP abilities only unlock as you spend CP.

On 1, basically what Narevarine said. It might be a little more accurate to say all characters are getting their respecs at once, and then you see the results when you log in the first time. But, that's mostly semantics.

On 2, the timeframe for getting CP bonuses on a VR character is right now. When 1.6 hits, they'll look at how much XP your VR has (1m per Vet Rank, and whatever you counted towards the next rank), then award you with 1 CP for every 200k experience you earned. As with the respec, this will happen when the patch is applied, and then you'll see the CP when you log onto one of your vet characters the first time.

If you log into a non-vet first, you won't see the CP initially. You do need to log onto a vet character for that to pop up account wide. As far as I know, there should be no time limit for that, but it is possible.
