    Hi Deathstar,

There are a few things you can attempt to fix this.

You can try repairing the currently downloaded files by doing the following:

    1) File Corruption- Cancel the download
    - a) This can be done by clicking on the rounded 'cog' symbol top right on your launcher
    - b) Under ''Game Options'' in the 'News' area of the launcher window select 'Repair' from the drop-down menu.
    - c) If you cannot find ''Repair'' click below for an image. If it isn't in the designated location, please 'CLOSE' the launcher and re-open as administrator by right-clicking the shortcut and selecting ''Run as Administrator'', be sure to hit OK on the confirmation window and the launcher will open then please attempt step 1.
    ''Repair'' Location: http://gyazo.com/ab197aec4f20acffe365fdcf70e11922

This process will then go through a ''VERIFYING'' phase which will check the files for any anomalies and then re-acquire them automatically by re-downloading any corrupted files.

    2) Networking - Firewall/Connectivity
    - Try restarting your Modem/Router in case a network issue is occurring and interfering with the connection. This is best done by unplugging the power supply from the wall and unplugging the Ethernet cable from the wall for at least 10 mins before powering it back up.

Ensure that Automatic configuration Script and Proxy Server are disabled in your Internet options. These settings can be found by following the steps below:

    Open your Control Panel
    Select Internet Options
Click Connections on the top panel
    Select LAN Settings

From here ensure that Automatic configuration Script and Proxy Server are disabled (unchecked). Once the settings are applied, please retest the issue.

If this does not resolve your problem, please contact Customer Service at: https://help.elderscrollsonline.com/app/ask.

*Check out ESO Help for a step-by-step video on how to fix this issue: http://youtu.be/8Z26H5VA2do

    - LAST RESORT:Turn your firewall off temporarily for the duration of the patching process, this includes any virus protection you may have running which could be causing interference.

Let me know how you get on with these.,
